New York JETS @ Oakland Raiders

Quite a turnaround for the JETS who allowed 32 ppg in their 1st 5 outings, but just 13.5 ppg in winning their last 5 of 6.

The "Chad" has been brilliant in replacing Testabirdie & my favorite Martin is cranking it up a notch.

But extinguishing the smoking Raiders is another matter.
NFL's best offense posted another 520 yds in their rout of the Cards, with Rich "the Cannon" Gannon surpassing 300 PYs for the 8th time.

NY is 16-4 ATS on the non-division road & an impressive 10-3 ATS as a Dec pup. (Not to shabby)

Raiders counter with 12-4 ATS as Monday hosts & the SU winner has covered all 11, by an average of 15 points.

Pick up the putter & Lay the Wood

Oakland Raiders - 6

Raiders down to -5.5 at Pinnacle. 4:00pm Vegas time.

Will the Buffalo Bills Battle Trend strike again, for the 13th week in a row?

New York Jets (6-5) at Oakland Raiders (7-4)

New York Jets (6-5) at Oakland Raiders (7-4)

Network Associates Coliseum, Oakland, California

New York has won 4 straight games after defeating Buffalo LW and is back in the playoff race while Oakland has won 3 in a row after defeating Arizona

Team W L T PCT Home Road
N.Y. Jets 6 5 0 .545 3-3 3-2
Oakland 7 4 0 .636 3-2 4-2

STANDINGS:
Jets - 2nd place (tied), AFC East.
Raiders - 1st place, AFC West (tied).

Oakland QB Rich Gannon has completed nearly 69 percent of his passes this season and has thrown 22 touchdown passes and nine interceptions. He is averaging 321.4 passing yards per game.

New York QB Chad Pennington leads the AFC with a 99.8 quarterback rating, just ahead of Gannon (99.1) and is 5-2 since replacing Vinny Testaverde as the starter, completing 70.2 percent of his passes with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Oakland has won 7 of the last 9 regular seasons against the Jets. However, New York plays well on the road, the Jets are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games on the road and 2-0 ATS as an underdog on the road. The Raiders have the best offense in the league, averaging 412.6 yards per game, while the Jets defense have been impressive. New York has not allowed a point in the fourth quarter and last week shut down the Buffalo Bills. Going to be a close contest, but the old men of Oakland are tough and are playing at home on a Monday Night.

The Raiders are 35-19 on Monday Football and have covered the spread in 7 of its last 10 against New York.

Defensively, Raiders ranked #14 in the NFL while the NY Jets are ranked #23.

Jets defense ranks #26 vs the run giving up a mind boggling 4.9yds per carry while the Raiders rank #8 vs the run giving up 4.0yds per carry. T

Both possess less than adequate secondaries ranked 20th and 21st in the league.
The difference here being the Raiders have the #1 ranked passing team in the NFL while the Jets have the 20th ranked passing game.

Dont get submarined. Board the Raider Train
