JT,

I always look at your opinions each day and they weigh my plays heavily, however, did you factor in that Nomo's only road win this season was his No-hitter April 4th?

You think maybe he's due for a road win?

JT, I should have come off Toronto after seeing your post, but I am sometimes hard headed and I originally liked Toronto.

Loaiza gets pounded for five runs and taken out of the game before the Jays even have a chance to bat. I now think you are right on this one. I don't think the Jays and I will ever catch up. (grin) I want my money back!

TV...thanks for the kudous.....

JOE...sorry I couldn't get back to you before the game started. A couple of the main reasons I selected the sox today is due to lack of hitting by the jays, also although nomo was not winning on the road, his overall opponets BA. was just over .200. Loiaza opponets are hitting over .300 against him and he he is not a very good day pitcher. The sox are hitting the ball well, are 12-3 on turf this year and the visitor in this series has won the last nine out of ten. Just some notes...

nation30---nice run yourself, I'll shoot you an email in a bit. I have a meeting at 1530, and will be back shortly after with night games,,,,

I need yuou help. Yuo indicated a couple of times about Nolan's Factor. Where did you read it. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and cannot find it. Assistance would be welcomed along with 27 winners. Or 26 even!!

Congrats! You have really been hot. I am going along for the ride for the next few of days. If it is OK with you, I would like to parlay some of your picks, track and post them under thread "Snoozing's parlay of JT's Picks". Will not post unless it is OK with you.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,

Thanks for the kudous bill....the dalla factor I use was described about four days ago in his thread but I will give you a brief description of how it works.

For example for anyone who took the yankees today they won 7-1. What you would do is use the differemce as the dalla factor, so after this game your dalla factor would be +6. If you had tampa today then your dalla factor would be -6. It is best used in football and using it for baseball is only a test that I have decided to use and I am trying to work the kinks out, because it does not show the money line or the affect it has.

Next, feel free to use my selections as part of your hottest parlays, however instead of using just my picks, perhaps you should use the hottest cappers. There are many cappers in here tearing it up.

Hope this helps,

JT

Good Idea, I'll pick 4 teams (a concensus) from Tigers list of hot cappers. I'll simply call it hottest cappers' parlay.

Still do not understand the Dalla factor. I will try to find Nolan's post.

thanks,
bill

Around the Horn

KC @ Cleveland -200

Anyone willing to drop 2-1 to KC at this point could be in trouble. KC has won six straight, three vs. the tribe, and seven out of the last ten. The tribe on the other hand have lost four straight and six out of the last eight. Backing the tribe because of starting pitcher C.C? It is true he is 3-0 vs the royals, but that doesn't mean they don't hit this southpaw. Here are some hitters vs.
Alicea .429
Dye .455
Ibanez .375
Mayne .429
Randa .476
Sweeny .625
It's great," Royals starter Dan Reichert said. "Sweeney is hotter than hot. Ibanez is hitting the ball hard, and Beltran is coming around."

I'll ride the hot hitting royals

KC +180

Also considering taking them plus the run and a half, will post before game time.

Pittsburgh @ Cincy -125
Both teams are crap, thought about taking the reds, but schmidt has pitched well lately and seems to do well against the reds. Can't back a slumping pirate team who can't hit lefties well. With the lack of hitting the under is a possibility, but waiting to before gametime to find out who is behind the plate.

PASS

more to come....

Around the horn cont.

Minnesota @ Chicago
Put most of the numbers aside there is pure value in this game. I hate to side with the people, however you get the first place twins who have won six out of seven overall, and nine out of the last ten against the white sox, and you get them at plus money? I'm down.

PLAY Twins +125

Much like the pitt/cincy game the under looks good here and I will post as soon as I see who is behind the plate.

Houston-110 @ Milwaukee 9.5O20
A double Play in this one tonight:

PLAY UNDER 9.5 (E)
You get the under at a nice price in this one. Haynes goes tonight for the brewers and although he is pitching well lately he is not winning games. The brewers only give him 1.7 runs per game. Which should stay the same considering thay are only batting .210 vs. righties in the last ten. Winds will start off blowing left-to-right and then will blow in towards home, and behind the plate, Wendelstedt has the under at 6/11.My only worry is that the astros score 10 all by themselves which brings to my next play.

Astros -110
Little late jumping on this number as it was at even money earlier. However the astros hit Haynes well 0-3 era over 10. The astros are hitting very well almost 60 points higher than milwaukee, and should lay it on. Worried about the redding pitching, don't he actually pitched well in his first start and the astros gave him seven runs of support which should help to keep him setteled down. Also only Dotel is not available out of the pen, so they will have backup for redding.
Wendelstedt behind the plate has the home team at 8-9 this year, and in the last two year when the home team has been a small fav of +110 or less that team is 0-7.

More numbers on milwaukee:
1-5 last 6 games
3-9 last 12 home games
5-21 in 4th game of a homestand last 26 times

Seattle-130 @ Texas
I don't know what bothers me following the public, or having so many selections. I don't know what to post good reason for taking seattle, or bad for taking the rangers because there is plenty of them.
I'll take the bargin basement deal with the M's

PLAY M's -130

That's it for now, will be back with late selections, if any
