San Francisco/Philadelphia-7:05 pm-Samardzija (Eflin -- Samardzija still trying to get up to speed...Eflin off a few knee surgeries, finally healthy and his velocity way up his first start back and slider working real well, tons of strikes...I'm on Phila despite that Giants offense so strong lately, I still don't trust it..

N.Y. Mets/Cincinnati-7:10 pm-Conlon (Bailey -- P.J. Conlon, LHP-3.51 ERA in the AA last season...and Triple-A this season - 6.75 ERA and 21 strikeouts over five starts. But scouts like him, a soft-throwing control leftie, did well Spring Training, unorthodox delivery too - leftie and unorthodox is the usual recipe for success in a debut.

He's the first Belfast-born (Falls Road, so The Troubles sent him abroad) pitcher since Harry McIlveen (109 years ago, Joe Cleary in 1945 was last Irish-born player played in the major leagues, he recorded 1 out in his only MLB appearance), lived in US since 2 years old, a San Diego State product.

The Reds are 0-7 in Bailey starts this season, he just not have his stuff, and he's been lucky with career high batted balls and LOB so far...So I do like the better team here...Cespedes is in the lineup

Miami/Chi. Cubs-8:05 pm-Garc?a (Hendricks -- Garc?a getting it done with everyone scratching their heads why, tho 50 of 80 pitches for strikes last start helps. So does his hilarious season .157 BABIP and 95% LOB rate ... Hendricks 2.18 ERA in 3 starts at home... under again and I suppose I should bet Cubbies to take out frustration on Miami, but the price is silly for a club scoring 3 or less in 10 of last 11,.Rizzo is out (rest) .. so I'm on the Miami value...and under 5 innings

Detroit/Texas-8:05 pm-Fulmer (Moore -- Fulmer still not many strikes, but more than makes up for it with all those ground balls and few HRs. But he pitches for Detroit, thus he's lost two games 0-1 where he gave up only 1 ER each those starts, but TX even worse of late than Detroit, so you see this line about right considering Moore sucks, especially at home, and off an awful start...but that's him...I guess the under as Moore could even keep these bats down, especially considering the flu bug is running thru Tigers clubhouse...

Minnesota/St. Louis-8:10 pm-Romero (Gant -- ESPN -- Romero listed as Twins' No. 2 prospect by MLB Pipeline, in his debut last week he went 5.2 scoreless vs Toronto, his fastball the fastest ever for a Twins pitcher (98.6 mph - since records began in 2008). He was otherwise bit rough, needs a lot more polishing to achieve his potential. He had 2.57 ERA (1.29 WHIP) across 21 innings in minors this season...

Gant off 3 perfect innings vs Mets on 26th of last month, 5.63 ERA in two starts last season, 4.61 ERA in his MLB career in 70.1 total innings, had a 3.83 ERA in 18 starts (99 SO in 103.1 innings) for Memphis Redbirds last season..But, we read here how scouts say he is improved over last season. He had a terrific spring and superb this season down at Memphis, posting a 3-0 record with a 2.25 ERA....Cards are rolling, off sweep of Cubs, tho marathon game last night, are in front of the home faithful (which really means something here). Romero won't go too deep and we see here Twins' bullpen is dead last, by FIP, (by a long shot) in MLB ....so Under 5 innings, STL for the full game

Houston/Oakland-10:05 pm-Keuchel (Anderson -- Keuchel slowly but surely getting up to speed and gaining his control, almost had it all together last start. Houston is 2-7 in his starts this season, very poor run support....Anderson is baaack! His last appearance with the club (before last week) was in the 2013 postseason! He pitched for Blue Jays and Cubs last season (6.34 ERA).... Last week he was good at Seattle, sent down 11 straight at one point, and that start about the best you get out of this guy. They are hoping for another such, to be at least better than Graveman anyway, so we'll see..I think he will today at least...Houston and the under

Washington/San Diego-10:10 pm-Strasburg (Ross -- Strasburg back in his home town (West Hills High in Santee and 3 years with Tony Gwynn at San Diego State), we can count on yet another fine start for him here...Ross off that thoracic outlet syndrome surgery which usually means a pretty rough time to get back - but not Ross! He is back to his 2015 form and that slider even better (we'll give him a mulligan for the start at Coors) we read about it here....WA has been rolling but SD not that bad of late, and have a way better bullpen, Hosmer smacking HRs all over the place... San Diego +160

Goood luck everyone!! :firing: :toast: :0074 :spotting: :em71: :drinky: :mj06:
