4-2 playoffs

Played COLORADO -109 (LEE VS JIMENEZ LISTED)

Sure, Cliff Lee's a lefty and the Rockies have had some problems with the southpaws, but Colorado is not near as bad vs them at home and one reason is that it's just hard to pitch in Coors Field. Lee has never pitched there before and he just faced them a few days ago....so ADJUSTMENTS will be made by the Colorado hitters and I don't expect Lee to pitch as well as he did in that last outing. I love to use batter-pitcher matchup stats, but learned over the years, they mean a lot less when they just faced each other in back to back starts.

Just like I expect the Rockies hitters to make some adjustments vs Lee, I think Colorado's starter, Ubaldo Jimenez does the same and don't expect the Phillies to hit him as hard as they did a few days ago. Remember this is a guy that has unbelievable numbers for a starter at Coors Field. In 15 starts at Coors this season, he only gave up 88 hits in 102.1 Innings and had an ERA of just 3.34 I'm not sure how many Colorado starters in the history of Coors have had an ERA that low over that many starts in a season, but it can't be too many.

Bottom line, it's a must win for Colorado and the revenge angle with each starters facing the same team in back to back starts, I think enough adjustments will be made and the Rockies will stay alive in the series.

Good luck to all :0corn

I think Jimenez had a little playoff jitters. The guy has wicked stuff, playing at home. Give me the Rockies.
