WMich/Det U132'

3-Unit:

MSU/MO U146'

FYI...living in Michigan...it is my humble opinion that the Big-10 (11  ) Basketball Conference is similar to its football counterpart...way over rated.

Evidence #1...Illinois has 2 games under its belt...been on the island long enough to squeek by Hawaii...and is only a 3' Fav over ASU, who has yet to play and is projected to be in the lower tier of the Pac-10????

Evidence 2...Izzo says he wants to get out and run??? against a pressing team??? Please.... they had 20 TOs in their last game...the last thing he wants its to get in a running match with MO

The only team in the conference (again IMO) that has any chance of hanging with the rest of the "major" conferences is WIsconsin.

But that's how I'm looking at it...now wait and see, if I'm on track or just a big :jerkit: :mj07:

Anyway...as always GLTA

Not to be a homer, but I think my alma mater, IU, can compete nationally this year......first time in a long time, though, that I can say that.

Otherwise, though, you are right......gonna be a down winter for the Big 10.....as a conference booster, I'd be happy if even 2 teams made the sweet 16 this year; extremely lucky if more than two.

Wait until you see the Hoosiers play. They are as athletic as any team I have seen play at IU!!!! They truly have ALL the pieces (size, athletic ability, shooters and solid point guard play) to be a very special team this year. They only lack experience playing TOGETHER. I really love their defensive intensity and the fun that they seem to be having on the court (I know its early, but Sampson creates this kind of play).

If you haven't seen Eric Gordon play yet, you will be in for a TREAT!!!! The kid is sick! He can hit from anywhere on the floor, drive by you with his quickness, post you up with his size, play defense, PASS and elevate!!! Jordon Crawford is a very special talent as well and will probably come off the bench (6th man) most of the year.

This team will score a lot of points this year and play very hard nosed basketball on the defensive side!

Good luck,

YAZ
