Ive been on the wiz's sides for a whole bunch of wins of late, however this is a game that they have all kinds of matchup problems. The first and most glaring who in the world is gonna guard Keith Van Horn. I mean they have no one even close as long thats as quick a kvh, and the big guys pf types are slow on washington (jones, white, thomas). Then you have a mismatch at pg where j kidd can post the two little guards any time he wants (lue and whitney) plus when he drives they cant stop him because of hes strength, which is good because kidd is a smart player and rather than shooting tons of j's im sure will see him driving.

For anyone who hasnt seen, martin has become a top flight defender, and is very very quick and can jump out of the building, he will be on jordan. This is the game where we really see rip being out really hurting the wiz, with martin on jordan and kittles who is very long on the number 2 threat hubert davis there really gonna struggle to score. Add that to the fact that with martin they wont have to double jordan like most teams do so that will allow everyone to stay with the 3 point shooters.

The number 1 difference is the bench, i love the way lue has played, and haywood is gonna be a good one but nj is 10 deep and they all can play.

good luck..

I agree, this should be a one-sided affair, as mj won't be able to duplicate his performance in the last game. And the Nets are playing great ball right now and they should win by over 10, look for the line to move up to 3.5 by tip off.

Not disagreeing with the pick, but I do see a problem with Martin guarding Jordan. Obviously Michael got in a nice groove on Saturday and had a days rest coming into the this game. Martin has a tendency to commit rather careless fouls...slapping at the ball when his man posts-up, etc..and is a candidate for foul trouble in this game. Jordan's savvy, pump-fakes, and benfitting from refs respect for MJ against a young player such as Martin, could give Martin early foul problems...without Hamilton, the offense is naturally concentrated on Jordan even more-so.

I do love the Nets bench..Harris is having great season, Williams is solid, and Jefferson is going to have a long, productive NBA career..definitely one of the top rookies in the league.

And if one play personified who is the MVP of the league thus far, it was Kidd diving for a ball he had no business getting and passing it ahead for an easy bucket. I normally don't care for players shooting under 40%, but Kidd is the exception. Guy doesn't need to score a point for all I care.

Right hoops, martin does make dumb fouls from time to time, but like i said at least they dont have to double him and thats more what im thinking here. I like the guys you named too, but another guy thats been actually good off the bench has been dial at back up pg, and collins has been ok in hes few minutes off the bench as well. I can see what your thinking with jordan, but they werent winning on o even with rip, they were winning on d and the mismatches they have on d in this game are overwhelming in nj's favor.

Hoops, good call about martin, he was trying to do way to much on both ends, nets 3rd leading rebounding team in the nba get outrebounded by almost 30. And jordan scores 45 and they dont run one double team at him..cant win them all, see all of you tomm...

be safe...

Don't sweat it dnugs.

Sometimes even the best analysis one can come up with.....doesn't come to fruition.

ATS plays are tough nuts to crack......even with "sledge hammer" analysis like yours!

Have a good evening my friend! ez
