Got a little bit of time, so I thought I'd post some thoughts. As I mentioned in Chenk's thread, Roy is barely over .500 lifetime in the playoffs in games where his opponents are facing elimination, but he is 17-4 the last 3yrs in the playoffs after a loss. I don't think Minny has ever beaten Col B2B, either. IMHO, the only person who can stop Roy is Roy himself. He'll bring his A game for sure tomorrow nite. Here is a quick breakdown on his goals allowed and (W-L) in those 21 games......
Shutout x 5 (5-0)
1 GA x 7 (6-1) 0-1 loss in LA 2 yrs ago.
2 GA x 4 (4-0)
3 GA x 4 (2-2) 1-3 loss in LA last yr, 2-3 loss in NJ 3 yrs ago
4 GA x 1 (0-1) 1-4 loss vs Dal 2 yrs ago
So that's 16 of out 21 games in which he's given up 2 goals or less, an a GAA of 1.48 over the 21 games.
Without getting into the specifics in numbers, the Avs at -172 actually is rather cheap, percentage-wise. The Avs have also outscored Minny 8-3 on even-strength goals in this series. The only concern I have is that Minny plays similar to LA (always gives the Avs fits), and especially NJ with their neutral zone trap, and these are 2 of the 3 teams who have beaten Roy coming off a loss. But this is a Minny team with very little playoff experience. IMHO, the playoff experience the Avs have, with Roy's playoff history, should be enough for the Avs to wrap up the series on Monday nite:shrug:.
Phi/Tor Over5 is at +138 AGAIN, I might end up taking that, too, tomorrow. Be careful taking the Over4.5 in Col/Minn, as chances are Roy will come up HUGE. Also, Minny has allowed 1.5 goals per game in their L10 homers. Manny was outstanding last game, also.
