Since I had time to post after the first pitch of the first game in Mickey's thread, I feel I need to post a few thoughts on the late game.
A few noteworthy, random thoughts:
Both teams had disappointing losses yesterday.
The Rangers play late and travel. Maybe not a big deal since the two time zones traveling west is not as hard.
Remember the Dodgers played 10 innings on Sunday.
Factor the Rangers losing an 8th inning lead, losing in the ninth.
Dodgers: Best home record NL, no travel for tonight.
Darren Oliver ERA: close to 7.0 ERA, 0-2 last four.
Prokopec: 6-2, 4-1 at home, under 4.0 ERA over all.
Feel Gary Sheffield is ready for a break out in his third game off DL.
Fears: Dodgers are not a prolific scoring machine and Prokopec should pitch well tonight.
Those are my thoughts on the late game tonight without going into stats I don't know off the top of my head.
Wrote this very fast and if I mispelled anything, so be it.
gl!
