i can't believe i'm doing this, but...

kansas st (+3.5) 3 units. what an insane line. it opened at 4.5 and already got bet down to 3.5? seriously? k st is so bad... that team has zero heart to begin with (pullen saying a month ago that if they go to the NIT, he won't play? really?), they lose yesterday when a last-second shot didn't quite beat the clock, and now they're only getting 3.5 from kansas? i mean, it would be almost impossible to bet on k st in this game, right? and yet, someone did exactly that with enough money to drive the line down a point. ridiculous.

as a general rule, if they lowered the line intentionally, it would be to get money on ku in this case. unless they're trying to entice all the contrarians among us to hammer k st, because the line makes no sense whatsoever.

this is always the toughest play for me to make. obviously ku is far better than k st. k st is coming off a tough loss just two days ago. ku already blew out k st this year. there is no way a rational man could bet k st in this game. and usually, when there is absolutely no way a rational man could bet a team in a nationally televised game, that team covers. and then everybody says 'what the fuck happened? kansas sucks!!'

to a lesser extent, the same is true of syracuse tonight. how could anyone bet cuse tonight? they've been flat-out awful, and wvu has been very good on the road. you almost HAVE to bet wvu. but that line isn't moving.

both of these games are very strange. i have made a lot of money this year betting against k st and syracuse. but these lines are so out of whack... i gotta bet both of 'em.
