ok, since the BC loss I've been telling everyone at work that that game was the beginning of a 4-game losing streak for the orange. time to put my money where my mouth is.
Maryland (ML) 2 units to win 3.5. tough, tough, tough spot for the orange tonight. first a couple close wins... then their luck finally ran out and they lost to a pitiful bc team. then the loss to duke, after which cj fair even said that they would have still had a chance if not for the Ts... and they play at Virginia on Saturday for 1st place in the acc. how focused are they going to be tonight?
if Maryland had seen this zone earlier this year, this would be a much bigger play. it's always very difficult to play against this zone for the first time. but I don't think it will matter tonight. Maryland should push the tempo to wear down a very thin team that's playing its 2nd road game in 3 days. and that's one of the best ways to beat the zone - get down court before it can get set up.
