Did not post any plays yesterday and went 3-1 on saturday so to date record is 12-2-1 +11.7 units. One early one for today:

Minnesota -127 over Detroit for one unit

Mostly a play against Holt as Mays' #'s for June are 1-2 with a 5.04 era. However Minnesota hit well yesterday and hopefully that continues today. Holt has a 5.48 era and 1.63 WHIP (1.81 last 3). He has also given up 108 hits in 87 innings. Mays leads all Twins' starters in run support average at 5.5 per game. I do worry he has given up 15 HR's this year in 100 IP. Minnesota is also 14-9 in day games and their record on Monday's is 4-1. That may not be of much importance so we'll see. At any rate at -127 feel there is good value. Back with more later. GL to all..

Any comments would be appreciated on the following leans:

FLA -155 over MON
LA -115 over SF
SD +152 over COL

Adding:

FLA -155 over MON

It's rare I take a favorite over -150 but I really like Burnett. His #'s are very impressive overall (5-3/2.11ERA/1.06 WHIP), but even better at home (1.57 ERA). He has only given up one HR in 64IP and given up only 43 hits. The Marlins are 6-0 after a loss in their last 6. I do worry that Burnett averages only 3.8 for run support. Vazquez has decent #'s overall and has a very nice 96K to 26BB ratio. But his #'s are not that good in his last 3 where he has a 6.4 ERA with 1.48 WHIP's. Montreal is also 5-19 L24 vs division opponents. Playing for one unit. GL to all

One last play:

LA -115 over SF for one unit

Mostly a play on Park as I usually take him when he starts unless the price isn't right. Just feel his overall #'s are so much better than Gardner. Park has a 2.8 ERA with 1.11 WHIP's. Gardner is 3-2 w/ a 5.68 ERA. Park has given up 77H in 109IP and 112k to 44BB. Gardner has given up 71H in 71IP and has 41k to 30BB. In his last 5 Park has a 2.5 ERA compared to 6.0 for Gardner. I don't know how much, if at all, it will factor in but I do worry Park threw 130 pitches in his last start on wednesday. I know he hasn't pitched as well on the road but still good enough to warrant a play at -115. GL to all..

Park is definitely the superior pitcher in this one. He has not been as good on the road though. I have a hard time figuring out how Gardner gets major league hitters out anymore. He throws about 85, doesn't have a great arsenal of offspeed pitches. I guess he manages to locate the ball well and keep hitters off balance, but you would have to think that this guy can't hold up much longer. Just my very abbreviated take, haven't looked at bullys or anything like that. Good luck to you.

L.A's brutal road record has me nervous looking at this game, and i leaned towards SF after their loss last nite, nad this being the first of a home stand.

(those of you please note, I am STILL taking time off, trying to find a new system and not putting any money on plays for the last 4 days...)

I've got such an itchy trigger finger...
