When NASCAR decided a few years ago to pull races from existing tracks and relocate them in seemingly more marketable locations, it put tracks such as tiny Martinsville Speedway in jepardy of losing one of two yearly races. Let's hope not. Martinsville is a terrific venue and one of only a few short tracks remaining on the schedule. If NASCAR is adamant about taking away more races to make room for potential sites in the New York City area and the Pacific Northwest, then please take one from Dover, or even Pocono.

SEASON STATS:

WIN BETS: 0-5 -750
MATCHUPS: 5-3 -50
PROPS: 1-1 +100
NET: -700

WIN BET:

Kevin Harvick +800 to WIN Advance Auto Parts 500 150/1200

MATCHUP:

Kevin Harvick -150 over Kasey Kahne 150/100

PROP:

Kurt Busch +200 to be highest finishing Ford 100/200

Harvick swept the events at Bristol and is running well on the short tracks.

Reigning Nextel Cup Champion Kurt Busch is still searching for his first win this season. I see a good effort out of his #97 Ford on Sunday.

Tough luck for me in the race.

Clutch problems forced Harvick (my money train for today) behind the wall and Kurt Busch was looking like a top 3 (and maybe a winner) until Gordon got a little too aggressive and didn't let Busch have the spot with 60 to go.
