I'm just re-watching the 49ers@Rams game from Sunday. Out of curiosity, right at the point where the Rams are up 17-0 and then Garoppolo throws an INT on the next drive (2nd quarter, 3:43 left in the half), I opened up espn's gamecast page to see what win% they gave the Rams, at that point. I see 94.5%.

I'm not sure how they calculate this, but the number rang a bell. I confirmed it, with the punchline being that they gave the exact same win% of 94.5 the day earlier, when the Chiefs made the 1st down to Kelce at the 2-minute warning in Denver, deep in opposing territory, Broncos out of timeouts; clearly, all the Chiefs had to do was kneel down.

Right after 2nd down--the second kneel-down--they had this win% up to 94.8%.
'nuff said

Glad they held on, though.
phew

I should clarify one thing as to what I looked at. They have a graph you can scroll through, although not every play is represented. They post the time, what the play was when said time was on the clock, and the win%. I'm not sure, for example, if that 94.8% for the Chiefs was BEFORE or AFTER they executed that 2nd kneel down (to perfection, I might add); I presumed the win% posted is for 'after' the play mentioned, but this could be one of those to err is divine situations. Either way I think they were low; how much greater was the win% after the first kneel-down compared to after the 2nd?

If that isn't enough, put this on a loop to quell sanity:
