You know, as soon as I saw people warning against betting the big money faves yesterday, I figured most of the chalk would hit. I ended up getting KC at +185 and the Cubs at +140, for the record.
DETROIT over Anaheim
Washburn is hot but he tends to get hit late. I think trying to make Levine a starter was a huge mistake by the Angels and now their bullpen is not as strong. Holt is a average pitcher. With the Tigers' bullpen throwing well and with their bats staying hot, I give them the advantage here trying to get the sweep. Should be about -105.
Philadelphia over ARIZONA
I can't help it. Everything I see here points to Philly for me. They have a stronger lineup. They have better defense. They have a much better bullpen. It hurts that Lieberthal is out, though. Yes, Johnson is much more reliable than Person but the Phils are very hot both on offense and with their pitching so I see them getting the sweep here. Should be about +200.
