Been relaxing at home, catching up on summer movies we missed.
Sicario, Day of the Soldado...grabs your attention, never lets it go. (Sicario is Spanish for Hitman)
Bombings in the USA believed to be by bad guys that are crossing into the USA from Mexico.
The covert plan is for a group led by Josh Brolin (who loves government "dirty work" jobs) to kidnap a Mexican crime lords daughter and create cartel warfare.
He enlists Benicio del Toro a narc agent and with some help, they kick serious ass....the movie plot line was riveting and fairly unpredictable, I liked that a lot.
After the kidnapping, they are told to "clean" things up as a mistake was made by intel. That leaves Brolin with the moral dilemma with the girl and an unaccounted for Benicio.
The storyline is very tense, the acting is great.
I really enjoyed the 2015 "Sicario"
This sequel surpasses it.....I give the movie my coveted
5 star rating......just rent it, grab a beer, enjoy.
Skyscraper...yet another "Rock" movie....
Good old fashion burning super smart multi-billion dollar skyscraper in Hong Kong.
The Rock is a security consultant, the entire family is the only tenant pre-openning the condos in the sky.
The bad guys want something, start a really big fire, and chaos ensues.
Rock saves the day.....yet again.
Good escapism, very predictable... 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Antman-Wasp....if you saw Antman (which I enjoyed), this sequel is just simply a reason to reel you in.
Short review:
If you liked Antman, there is NO REASON to see this unless you are bored to tears.
If you have not seen Antman, rent it and skip this one.
