I'll shock the crowd and admit that I really liked Bill Maher's Religulous. Pretty well done. It is really interesting to watch the defenders of religion confront easy questions they can't answer.

Anyone else see it?

How some people take religion so seriously is mind numbing.

Nothing more evil then organized religion, Bill put a funny spin on that fact, well done:)

As I have often found to be the case when atheists discuss religion with 'believers', Maher's early tone was one of arrogance.

I watched the first 15 minutes last night, but found myself in no mood to finish. Coming off of three days of harmony at the Jazz Fest, I wasn't in the mood for his confrontational style. I'll watch the rest tonight.

For the record, I was raised catholic, and my best guess is that there are no deities, afterlife, etc.

Yeah, some atheists have that tone. But, so do pretty much all religious people. Very few true religious people say "I think there might be a God"

I guess whoever is "correct" has the right to be arrogant. Much like it wouldn't be out of line to be arrogant over a disagreement over 2+2=4.

Too bad the origins of man aren't quite that simple...

...Also raised Catholic. Straightened me out.

You didn't find God in the Gospel tent?

He lives there
