Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Imagine moving your family to a third world Southeast Asian country for a new management job.

Later that nite as you settle in your fancy hotel, you hear distant gunfire, explosions, the TV news is blacked out and phones are down.

The Government is violently overthrown.

Foreigners, especially Americans, are being hunted and immediately executed by angry militants.

Most of the anger is over water management by A US conglomerate of whom Owens directly represents, the militants have his photo and are seriously looking for him and his family.

The movie never is in doubt as to the happy ending, its the journey.

Owen Wilson is fairly predictable as Dad on a mission to save his family.

He is befriended by Pierce Brosnan, a battle scarred, ex-pat who plays a very believable British CIA covert type, who admits to complicity in the efforts to promote "western interests" in the region.

Owen, to me, is a lightweight B actor. Pierce Brosnan, even showing some mileage, well lets just say, "Bond, James Bond".

The movie is riveting enough for a lazy afternoon escapist experience. It kept your attention and had a good pace.

It will be a good rental.
