or that leave you with a huge impression... begin it good or bad.

I wanna expand my DVD collection. I am going to buy
"Requiem for a Dream" as I think it is an excellent movie and leaves you with a feeling that you can't explain. The kind of movie that actually affects you.

What other movies are there like this one? that makes you go... WTF or leaves you with a strong feeling

Here are my top 3

1. Requiem for a Dream
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. Shawshank Redemption

If you are into Vietnam flicks I highly suggest "The Deer Hunter". Definitely has some gut-check scenes in it.

Rocky 1 When he runs up steps after finally getting in shape. That couple with theme song playing at same time was very motivating. IMHO that sound track as well as soundtrack from Fame are 2 good inspirational tracks.

Forrst Gump was good till they added the running at the end, seemed to far fetched then.

Movies that moved me.
Barbarella...when she enters the orgasmic machine
Big Bad Moma.....Angie Dickinson and Capt Kirk go at it
Attack of the 50 ft Woman..old one....greatest line ever in a movie"I know where my husband is.He's with that other woman".

La Dolce Vita.....Anita Ekberg dancing the the Trevi fountain
Fun in Alcapuco.....with Ursala Andress. She's not to bad in Dr No coming off the beach though.
Viva Las Vegas.... Ann Margret driving Elvis crazy.

But the No1 "mover" of all time came out in 1969 or'70.
Saw it in Denton,Texas as a fr or soph at North Texas St.

"The Stewardess's" in 3 D.
Everyone was hitting the person in the seat in front of you.Watching a 3 D movie like that.I'm surprised it never had a sequel.

I think I took this thread in the wrong way.But if it's Dr.Strangeloves,I think he's playing with you guys.......

Love Story (1970) $13.65 at yahoo

Drama
One of the most popular tearjerkers ever, LOVE STORY tells the tale of Jenny (Ali McGraw), a poor college student from Rhode Island, and Oliver (Ryan O'Neal), a rich law student from Boston, who fall in love while attending college. Despite opposition to their relationship from Oliver's wealthy father, the two get married. After graduation, Oliver takes a job at a prestigious legal firm in New York, and everything seems to be going well for the couple. However, tragedy strikes when Jenny is diagnosed with a fatal illness. As a result, Oliver must face a future without the woman he loves. This timeless film, based on Erich Segal's novel, featured the famous tag line "Love means never having to say you're sorry."
MPAA Rating: PG.

Got to think about

Dances with Wolves - Kevin Costner

Just came out on DVD now.

The scene where he rides the horse in front of the infantry
and lays back with his arms out while they shoot at him.

That moved me.
