hey beerman,
I feel yer pain my brutha! In the last 365 days I have packed up my household and moved not once, not twice, but FOUR times!
and lemme tell ya, each and every time I moved I threw out all kinds of crap and it still just seems to resurface time and time again.
Easiest way i have seen it done is to just pack EVERYTHING. i mean EVERYTHING in boxes. take a day and just WHAM. pack it. Then when you get to where you are going and start unpacking you can just toss stuff out. It's a LOT easier on your nerves. believe me.

depending on how far away you are moving and how many people you know in the new area I learned a neat little trick to make unpacking easier.
Pack 4 cases of beer in the moving truck before anything else. put them in the very front of the cargo box of the truck. That way, once everything else is packed up you have no way of getting to the beer without emptying the truck first.
Then, when you get to your new home, call up your buddies for some free beer.....

.... there's just one catch friends.

One thing worse than moving--moving back at your expense after your company unjustly fires you and you have to cover ALL expenses!!
Have fun with it-enjoy the beer!!
