I agree that Michigan has settled down and started to play some pretty good football, but the satus of Hart is not of concern to you?

michigan may very well cover, but i would not recommend a GOY in this spot. illinois should be able to move the ball up and down the field on the michigan d.

Illinois has beaten Michigan in Champaign only once in 50 years!!!!:142smilie .

Do the math that's 2% chance of winning or 98% chance they'll lose:firing:

no no my friend...50% chance of winning and 50% chance of loosing. Any given Saturday...as far as this year goes. but you go ahead and call this "in the bag" or "a lock"...I don't give a shit who wins...so good luck to you...but I'm going to laugh my ass off if the Illini pull this out

so Mr. Lock, how much you putting on it? you definitely haven't stepped out to let everyone know...since this game is "a lock"

That makes sense because the I think the players from those teams will be on the field playing this game:rolleyes: . What difference does it make if Mich beat Illinois in Champaign from 1969 - 1980?

I ddin't mean any disrespect, and Michigan may very well win, but to say they will win because they have won there since the 1960's really has no bearing on this game.

Sure it does my friend. It proves that Michigan is a major powerhouse Program ie recruiting. Illinois is a Mid Major Program against top teams. Sure Zook had a decent recruiting class but can't compete with the big boyz. Numbers don't lie Michigan has a superior program with better players.

Since 1966, Illinois has compiled a 25-93-3 (.219) record against Top 25 teams, including an 3-12 record against No. 1-ranked teams and a 3-35-2 (.100) mark against opponents ranked among the top five.

This may be a close game. Michigan may win by a point. The bottom lime Michigan will figure away 2 win or Illnois will find a way 2 lose. I guess time will tell.:0corn

I'm a Michigan fan and this game is no lock by any stretch of the imagination.....if Hart cant go, or goes but has to leave early....and the backup Minor who was out of last weeks game cant go....its carlos brown who will be toting the rock and he may be a decent runner, but he has FUMBLING issues........something you can't cap.....

Also, Henne is a statue back there, so if hes not making the right reads, Illinois' front is good enough to create pressure and force an errant pass...

Another thing, Rashard Mendenhall....thats it....Rashard Mendenhall, this kid is a runner, hes fast, hes strong and he catches well out of the backfield...think along the lines of Jonathan Stewart from Oregon who ran at will vs MIchigan.....who was that other guy from Oregon, oh yeah Dennis Dixon.......yeah the achilles heel of the mich D.....a running QB...well now they can pick their poison between Juice Williams or Eddie McGee.....

as a fan I would love to see a Mich win......however it will not be easy nor a lock.......this game is at night on ABC and Illinois is not out of the BIg 10 race, its been awhile since Illinois has had a team to cheer about......
