Merry Christmas

I'm currently 3rd, 5 pts out of 1st. We pick straight up, but add confidence picks 16 (strongest)-1 (weakest).

This is my initial thinking on picks below. Obviously, I may miss a pick, but if the 1st place guy has the same pick, I can still gain on him. sf/az, chi/gb, nyg/wash mia/yj are definitely games to pick up solid points...figure he'll take philly high........
Interested in your thoughts/angles I may be missing. TIA :0008

Best of Luck

CLEEEEAR!!

The only game I differ with you is Arizona/SF. I think the Cards win this game. I do not pick confidence points. However, I personally would not have Tennessee nearly so high. They would be amongst my lowest 5. They have only won 2 of their last 7 games and this is Houston's last chance at any redemption on the season. I would move Philly way higher. I do not see them losing this game,

Minnesota scares me. Now that the Lions have nothing to play for, they may actually come out strong and play great. Either way it would stay a low confidence pick for me.

I will post my picks early tomorrow

I am in pretty much the same position as you. I am in third place and 6 points behind the leader. My thinking was that I might have to take a shot at an upset that the leader wouldn't pick. Where do you think you would gain points on the leader with your picks?

Zig,

Rattler feels az beats sf, but I wonder how much motivation there will be when NO beats TB...he also feels that hou could give tenn a run for its money ...
with that being said, minny looks like a nice pick, balty still has a chance for playoffs and they play early, and for some reason I feel the jets will pull one out for mr foot fetish
Best thing about points is you can obv still gain on your competitors even if you lose, hence I'm not going to pick upsets but those games mentioned above I think have a great chance to close the gap bc I know the tendencies of the 2 guys ahead of me ---
what you think about your pack? As you can see I moved them up significantly once Rodgers was said to be playing, Lacy should be gtg and even cobb will be back for a few snaps

Looking at my 8-16 picks, which ones would scare you?

Thanks man--

I guess the one difference from yours is I also have Arizona beating San Fran. Our top picks are very similar even though the order is changed a bit. I have Tennessee a little higher like you did have them and you have the Giants rated higher than mine. I don't know. I am still thinking that I might need to pick out an upset in order to win. I was leading for over half the year, dropped to second the past few weeks and the third place guy made up a lot of ground the past couple of weeks and passed me last Sunday. Here is how I had picked mine:

16 New Orleans
15 Indy
14 Denver
13 Seattle
12 New England
11 San Diego
10 Pit
9 Carolina
8 Green Bay
7 Tennessee
6 Philly
5 Miami
4 Arizona
3 Cincy
2 Giants
1 Minny

id say best chance for su win then are minny, az, nyj...Id drop indy just a bit for the simple fact they aren't playing for a whole lot...jax has played really well the 2nd hf of the year, surprised to see a line of 11pts--indy off big win last week
balt/cincy is interesting bc cincy tends to do the opposite of what you generally think, got to assume sb champs will fight back if just for pride
