"hey Canada.....why don't you do something worthwhile for once and not worry about the games and help us hunt down these pricks......
we have covered your ass for years and maybe it is time to return the favor."

Look buddy, while I agree it was a bit insensitive to ask about baseball games in a situation like this, you should get a clue before opening your piehole.

FYI, thousands of households in the Toronto area have opened up their homes to the people who got stranded at our airport because of rerouted flights. People have been calling into helplines offering to provide food/housing for these people who have been inconvienced by this matter.

All elective surgery in our hospitals have been cancelled because they are flying in people from NYC because of the overload on NYC's medical system.

People are donating blood and the Canadian Red Cross is freezing it and shipping it south of the border.

So FWIW, we ARE helping the matter. So shut your piehole and get a clue before bashing us Canadians.

I second that, I have donated blood and had 2 couples in my house overnight. Looks like they will be staying another night and will be leaving tomorrow. Very nice people may I add, and Dr. Freeze, you just made yourself look like a complete idiot.

God Bless

Actually canada played a much bigger role in WWII than people give them credit for. It was canada that invaded juno beach, which was one of the more difficult beach heads. the first wave casualty ratio was about 90%.almost as bad as omaha, which was about 92% i think. canada also played a huge part in the liberation of italy. They lost about 6000 KIA in just a few months.
dont forget
the netherlands 7500 KIA
south east asia 8000 KIA
dieppe 5000
and countless others.

Be cool with Canada man. They are probably the most loyal allies weve got.

Thank you for pointing out Canada's role on WW2. Actually, the area that I am from was hits particularly hard by both war as almost full regiments from this area were wiped out.

Also, the city that I live in is currently housing 6000 people who were on their way to the US but had to land at our airport.

At the same, I want to apoligize for my question and any hard feelings it may have created. At the time of my post, I did not realize the scale of the attack or that it was in fact "an attack" and not an accident.

Once again, I am sorry and my prayers go out to everyone in the US.

I just know my friends in London,Ont with whom we`ve been visiting back&forth for nearly 20 years call themselves that. No disrespect intended. As I stated Canada has always been there when we needed them.

trying to think what wars you are referring to,.......well....still trying.....
Sometimes the Canadian military is terribly underfunded but if you look through the history books you will see how Canadian veterans acted in times of war.

thanks

Jack - can you move this to General Discussion, delete it, or lock it?

Guys - keep this sh*t in the General Discussion forum. No need for it here.

Ok I admit this don't belong in this part of the forum but no need to come out like that.

Just think about the real bs that has cluttered this board, all the piss poor arguments etc... & compare that to a topic where a decent convo is taking place, do you still think this is a piece of s*it?

If you didn't like it you shouldn't have replied to it.
