2* - Minnesota Golden Gophers (-6?)
I don?t have enough time this morning to provide a thorough analysis of this game but essentially I look for Minny to run all over the Cavs and eat up the clock. Virginia is only averaging 26 points per game this season and with the game shortened by the Gophers stud running backs, I don?t see them having much time to put together enough drives to cover this number since Minnesota should easily score in the thirties.
Virginia allowed an average of 146.9 rushing yards per game this season while Minnesota had the second best rushing attack in the nation and the highest scoring offense in the Big Ten. The Gophers have two running backs in Laurence Maroney and Gary Russell who have each rushed for over 1,000 yards this season making Minnesota the first team in NCAA history with two 1,000-yard rushers in three straight seasons. Maroney finished with 1,355 rushing yards to become only the third player in Big Ten history with 1,000 or more in each of his first three seasons.
