Portland comes to Albuquerque to play the UNM Lobos tonight. The Lobos are 2-0 on the season but those victories came against San Francisco State and New Mexico Highlands, both division II teams. The Pilots come into tonights game 2-1 and won their last two games at Oregon State and Long Beach State.

The Lobos have 4 games in the next 8 days and play in state rival New Mexico State on Wednesday. This is also the last week of practice before redshirt transfers Danny Granger and Troy DeVries can play. I think all this will distract the Lobos who were picked to finish next to last in the MWC.

My only concern with this game is that from what I can tell Portland likes to play an up temp game and the altitude could get to them down the stretch.

The Lobos should win a tight game, but I'll take Portland and the points.

Portland +8.5

CSU/Auburn

CSU has improved from last year, but they're still not the calibar team as Auburn. Thought I was going to get Auburn at 11.5 but line moved to 13.5, which is a little to high for my taste. If the line drops down a little I'll probably pull the trigger, but not yet.

New Mexico/Portland line up to 9 . . . should've held off a little longer . . . oh well, still think Portland covers.

Good luck Jedi!!!

I'm with you on the same page for T.T. I think they will rebound from the poor performance in the NIT game...

jedi,I capped the game but passed on it.But my lean was to Portland.Lyr NM won at home early in the season to Northwestern St and powerhouse Northeastern. They won those game by 4 and 2 pts.Portland is a lot better.I played Portland in a small parlay.
Now if Fran Franchilla was still coaching the Lobos, lordie, lordie you'd be rich..gl tonite
