Why Illinois wins:
1) Better defense - NC play matador defense most of time. There plan is to outscore you. Roy had a tough time with the zone against Syracuse a few years back. I see same thing here, especially early. i also love Illimois transistion defense. They do not give up easy ones.
2) Turnovers - NC is sloppy with the ball. Illinois is not.
3) Crowd - Pro Illinois and pro underdog.
4) Coaching - Roy seems to choke up in big games. Been impressed with Weber this tournament.
I see Illinois making NC work alot harder on offense then they like. They are at a disadvantage once the ball gets inside but Think getting the ball there is not going to be easy. If Illinois can frustrate NC early, then they can be there at the end of the game.
This NC teram reminds me of Michigan fab five team that NC beat in finals. Defense and team play usually prevails when the lights are shining brightest.
