Finished the regular season at 27-22. 55%. Not bad, but certainly below my average of 57.5% Now it is time to pick the Bowl games. It is important to get you wagers in early because the lines change often. If you see something you like, jump on it. My picks so far:

Texas +7 vs Utah...I do not know if Utah has anything left in the tank after that embarrassment in Santa Clara last week. Texas was a major disappointment this past season and wants redemption.

Cincinnati -6 vs Boston College (Venetian) Boston College's one dimensional offense will not be able to keep up with Cincy's offense.

Clemson - 1/2 vs Ohio State (1st half) (Circa). This should be the easiest wager in the Bowl season. Clemson loves to grab leads early and Ohio State is a terrible 1st half team.

Baylor +7 1/2 vs Georgia. A very disturbing pattern is emerging with Georgia. They cannot win the playoff games and do not do real well in Bowl Games. Matt Rhule is a better HC than Kirby Smart. Getting 7 1/2 points is almost a gift.

Georgia Southern -5 1/2 vs Liberty. Liberty had a good 2nd season as a FBS team, but Georgia Southern played a much more competitive schedule and knocked off 1 loss App State on the road.

La. Tech +7 1/2 vs Miami (FL) (Westgate). This is almost a home game for Tech, who plays well in Bowl games. Miami is coming off of another disappointing season and rarely shows up for Bowl Games.

Mississippi State +3 1/2 vs Louisville (Circa). Probably the closest game that I picked so far. Both offenses can score, but Mississippi State has a little more variety in their attack.

Ohio State is a terrible 1st half team? You better check your info dude, I think OSU covered every 1st half wager this year except for once or maybe twice!

They were behind Wisconsin in BOTH of those games. They also failed to cover against Penn State and Rutgers, of all teams. That is 4 poor 1st half's out of their last 5 games. Clemson is much better than any team they have played so far this season.

WRONG Again! They were beating Penn State 14-0 at halftime and beating Rutgers 35-7 at HT covering both of those games. They also covered the 1st half bet in the 1st Wisc game leading 10-0. So that leaves only 1 or 2 out of the 13 games they didn't cover....hardly a poor 1st half team. AND....I'll guarantee you Ohio State is a much, much, much better team than ANYBODY Clemson has played...but good luck with the rest of your plays.

Missisippi State should read -3 1/2. My error.

Waiting to pull the trigger on Oklahoma State + points vs Texas A&M. Right now A&M is -7. Waiting for that to go up to -7 1/2 or more. Also watching Pitt vs Eastern Michigan. The line is Pitt -11 now. This basically amounts to a home game for Eastern Michigan. I am not sure if Pitt is really interested.

As a rule, I never wager on USC games, for or against. USC is my Alma Mater and I do not want to be tempted to wager with my heart, instead of my brain. I may make an exception here. Clay Helton is terrible. That idiot has not opened practice as of yet. He had 15 days of practice available to him. Now he is down to 10. The new President, Carol Folt, was the person who insisted that Helton be retained. That will cost the University a lot more than is buyout will. The Alumni is up in arms. One alum sent a wreath to Heritage Hall with the words "USC Football R.I.P" on it. The recruiting is the worst it has EVER been. #11 in the Pac 12. Iowa -2 here is the play. USC is totally buried with controversy. They will be very lucky to win 6 games next season.
