Well, the infamous cold streak has hit me. Ive always dreaded it, and have gone thru short ones, but this one is unreal. Ive gone a week without a winner, and man, this really bites. I have cut back on the number of games i play, the amount I play, and i still cant pull out of it. Anyone else go thru this? Anyone mind helping me out of this? Id really appreciate it if someone would let me tail them or something until I get back on track.........this is just getting sickening............any help would be appreciated............

if you'd like to help, or dont mind me tailing you, please shoot me an email...........

This has always worked best for me. Walk away get away from all forms of gambling and posting forums for about 2 weeks. Sometimes all you really need is to clear your head and re charge those batteries.

Another option is limiting yourself to 2 plays maximum per day until you get your confidence back. Its unreal how streaky gambling can be. During baseball season, I hit 17 sides in a row then I lost a game. Then another. Before it was over it was 13 consecutive losing sides right after the winning streak. Another idea is not to get too caught up in the short term. We want every day and every week to be solid winners but it just isn't possible. If you're not tracking your plays on a spreadsheet, you should start. You have to see what your weaknesses are, as well as the strengths.

If possible, list your previous losses and maybe some of the more experienced, battle-scarred handicappers can point out where you may have gone wrong in your assessment.

I have been thru numerous losing streaks. It seems like you will never pick another winner. If you talk yourself out of a bet it would of won if you played it. If you play it, it loses. We all go thru it. My advice is to play the minimum bet allowed. Cut everything back. And try to ride it out. You will come out of it. But do not try to make up your loses. Just try to hang in there until the streak breaks.

UT,

I've found when I've gone thru bad streaks, it's best to walk away for a few days. Don't even look at anything sports related. No internet and no paper nad no T.V. Just walk away and come back refreshed. It's worked for me. I find when you walk away and still look at games you get pissed because they hit and you didn't play them.

Take a couple of days off........

Just my opinion...

Thanks everyone for the help.......I really appreciate it........I am going to use this losing streak to my benefit and this could be the best thing that has happened to me in my short gambling life, as it has shown me that I have alot of work to do on learning and perfecting my handicapping skills before wagering any of my hard earned money.........

And to that person that has emailed me with help in regard to handicapping and such, thank you very much, I really appreciate it:)

i see you've taken 4 favs as opposed to only 2 dogs. taking too many favorites in the bowls may be hazardous to your bankroll!!over the past 3 years, dogs are 42-19 ATS in the bowl games. dogs are off to an 8-4 start this year ATS. during bowl season, i try to look for reasons to take the dogs first, because if worse comes to worst, at least they shuold be more motivated, since with favs, you always run the chance of them not being happy with the game they're playing in. adjustments have to be made when capping regular season then bowl season

UT-Longhorn --

I feel your pain!!! I, too, have had a run of crappy luck. Of course there is the WVU, KState and Colorado games but today takes the cake:

-Atlanta can't score from the 1 yard line

-San Diego allows a late score (1 second left) and loses in OT

-Minnesota allows Detroit to score with 17 seconds left

All losers!!! Bad capping or bad run of luck. Either way, I will heed to the wiser and smarter beings on this board and stop for a while....I'll be at the MJ's Superbowl party and may start back there......I'm with you -- we need to keep the faith!!!!
