Tourney Record: 30-26-1
Money Lines: 6-6
(Wins with VCU +160, Richmond +135, Morehead St +420, Gonzaga +100, VCU +205, Butler +305)
(Losses with Mich St -120, Utah St +120, Villanova -120, Georgia +205, UNLV -135, WVU +160)
Sides: 8-12-1
Totals: 16-8

Locking in:

UConn-SD State under 129.5
I can't justify a play on either side, since I think this game is going to go down to the wire, but I really like the under here. This has the makings of a game where the first team to score 60 wins. Under is solid.

ppabart, congrats on a great wknd and continued success!

I've seen the Aztecs play a handful of times and don't think alot of people know them more than what they saw last wknd... especially people back east that rarely will see a late game or hav them in the sunday paper.

not sure where you're located, but my thoughts are these..

*SD St's big men remind be of Tayshaun Prince of Pistons - except they're a bit bigger and stronger. Long-limbed, wiry strong (don't shoot from outside as well as tayshaun) and can jump outta the gym.
I saw them put on a dunk contest before the Byu game and they had 7 guys that could hang w/most nba type dunks.. very athletic, very impressive.

*Their outside shooting is a question mark, I've seen it both hot and cold. Their best is the sub off the bench (Rahan?) he can light it up if he can spot up in transition.

*Pt guard DJ Gay has been too hesitant and needs to regain confidence in the open shot, becuz he's got some rebounding hounds inside - Kawhi Leonard is fantastic at reading the shot and being in the right place to board, and is an exceptionally quick leaper. Billy White also great around the rim.

*Conn may have the size to compete on the boards, but their players do notttt have the same athletic skills and are not as capable offensively imo.

*if Conn wants to play up-tempo, the Aztecs will show their skills, these guys love to run and dunk.. they just rarely get the chance.

*if Conn will play a fast pace, then SDSU will oblige and the game will fly over, if uconn slows it down I can see it being a struggle to score for both tms (like the temple 2nd half was).

Once you hear about Uconn's game strategy, plz post it for me aaaight? :D

My guess is they will indeed try to push it as Kemba Walker (great player!) also loves the transition drives to the basket.

I've already played the Over, and am leaning on switching to 1st half over, there seems to be a trend that the 2nd halves turn ugly one way or the other and stayed under, it's cost me a handful of wins.

Whatever U play... :toast:

Being from the Big East, I think UConn is used to physical games. I think this is going to be a knock-down, drag out affair. Early on, SD St could even face a few nerves. Their outside shootiing is part of the reason I like the under. You can just look at how they played BYU and tell where their strengths lie. In the first two games against BYU...that they lost....they shot an abundance of 3s (5-20 in game 1 & 6-17 in game 2). In the 3rd game against BYU that they won, they shot the fewest three-pointers (5-15). If UConn is smart.....they'll pack in that zone, and force SD St outside.

I love the write-up LoB. Lots of good info there. Best of luck to you this weekend.

Adding.....

Florida -2.5 (-115)
Bought a half point here. At some point the Jimmer show has to end. I think this is going to be a tight game but the intangible here is coaching. Billy Donavan will have his boys on the right track tonight. Gators survive and advance.

BYU-Florida under 149.5 LARGE!!!
This is my biggest play of the night. These two teams will be focused on guarding tonight. Look at the average points allowed for these two teams. (BYU = 67.5 and Florida = 63.1) And that's what I see out of these two teams tonight....a game that's in the low to mid 130s. Lock and load!!! Love this play!

Arizona +8.5
With Kyrie Irving back, I think the line might be too inflated here. Yes Irving adds a lil something to the Devils but I still don't think the chemistry is all there. Case and point, Duke's large lead against Michigan evaporating. Arizona is good enough to hang around with Duke....but I think Duke survives.

Butler +180
This team is just good....and now it believes in itself. Brad Stevens knows what buttons to push.

Going to lay down. Pretty happy with Butler's play thus far.....but man I'm taking it on the chin with the unders. Assuming that in the next 3 1/2 mins of the Butler game, they score 7 points (shouldnt be a problem since they are shooting too fast.....and too well).

I'm gonna play the under in the 2nd half of this game once it hits halftime. From what I've seen, I think this sets up to be one of those games that goes over in the 1st half but goes under for the game. Final play of the night......

2nd half Butler-Wisky under
Gonna lay the wood here.
