Back down to 12-14 again. This weeks picks:

Penn State -6 1/2 @ Minnesota (Circa). Penn State is simply a more talented team. The toughest team that Minnesota has defeated is, well there is NO team that they have played that can be considered very tough by any stretch of the imagination. Penn State has defeated Michigan and Iowa at Iowa City and is now in the playoff hunt. They will look to score style points in this game.

Purdue @ Northwestern Under 39 1/2. (Circa). Purdue is down to their 3rd string QB. Northwestern is down an offense. They have scored 41 points in their last 6 games. The temps will be lower than the given point total line. The 50 or so fans that show up for this one will wonder why they did. The two teams will just want the clock to run as quickly as possible.

Alabama -6 vs LSU (Caesars). I give a lot of credit to LSU for finally finding an offense. Their defense is not as good as they usually are. Alabama has just cruised along this season, playing a rather soft schedule. The truth of the matter is that Saban is worth at least 7 points vs Orgeron, who still has yet to prove that he can win a big game.

Baylor -2 1/2 @ TCU (Caesars). Cudo's to Matt Rhule who has done a great job at Baylor. Baylor can score and can play defense when needed. They have wins against Iowa State and @ Okie State. TCU has lost 3 out of their last 4 games, including games to the above mentioned Iowa State and Okie State teams. The clock will strike midnight for Cinderella Baylor, but the ball ends next week.

Liberty +17 @ BYU (Caesars). I know. Liberty? Most of the fans out there know very little about them. This is year two in the bigs for them, and while they certainly have not played a difficult schedule, they still are 6-3 this season. This team has shown the ability to score points in bunches and on the road. BYU is an enigma. Go figure them. They have wins against Boise State, USC, and Tennessee, and losses against Washington, Toledo, and USF. This team is 4-4 and has won just one game by more than 17 points. I think 17 points is just too many to give. This game is just begging for a back door cover.

Adding Illinois +15 @ Michigan State (Venetian). The illini have won 3 straight and covered 4 straight. They need one win to become bowl eligible, something they have not done since 2014. MSU has a depleted offense due to injuries and does not score much to begin with. Illinois should cover the number.
