Between Green Bay and Iowa City
YTD: 12-13 (-2.30*)
Last Week: 1-5 :(

This Week:

Denver(-7) over Pittsburgh (1*)
If Pittsburgh has an identity this year other than Bill Cowher?s jaw, it?s being disguised very well. I don?t think this game leaves me wondering if Denver is capable of asserting their identity at this point in the young season.

Green Bay(-2) over Kansas City (1 Biscuit)
There are still issues on defense, and the receivers need to continue to step up for Favre, but the Packers have found their best stride, which is not usually a right time for a visit to Lambeau.

Houston(+10) over Jacksonville (1*)
Situational factors are the first key in my handicapping, while line value is much farther down the hierarchy. But as Nolan noted, this number is outdated (and Tennessee of all teams is notorious for failing to deliver when giving more than a handful of points). Moreover, this seems a rather compelling and competitive game situation in which to expect Tennessee to roll to a double digit win. But it could also be another case of me getting burned when I get away from my usual angle for pulling the trigger.

My week in the NFL . . .

"I don't believe what I just saw" sums up the empty feeling from Monday night . . . My Packers aren't good enough . . .I play Houston for a reason that is never the reason for one of my plays . . . My lowest rated play on Baltimore is my only winner in the Infinity contest, but I don't post it because I'm probably right in guessing that would be like a KOD . . . And I drive across town to post my top play of the day (exactly the way I bet it on Tuesday), because the week deserves the proper final chapter, whatever that is. Let it pour.

Seattle(-3)(-125) for 1*and
Seattle(-3') for 0.50*

After shredding the Seattle defense at will last week, several Packers commented that after watching film on Seattle, they were shocked to have watched their opponents to date consistently run their offense into the teeth of the Seattle defense. San Francisco is now racing nowhere under Dennis Erickson, but they have their sharpies at the ready to boldly write on a big stage that Holmgren is nothing but a fat phuck.

Good night.
