i've bet on n. texas quite a bit this year and they have proven to be a great team to bet on. with the exception , of course, last week when they shut out idaho but couldnt manage to core 14. this defense is for real!!!

anyway..i wanted to hopefully gain a bit of knowledge about this new mexico team.

would love to read any opinions.

i love `em

i love `em

for the money they`ve made me......but that qb...he`s got to be one of the most feeble in div 1a.....i couldn`t possibly lay a td with that offense...n mx st has 2 pretty good qb`s and are a predominantly run oriented team that can also pass some...but,n texas appears capable of another good defensive effort...i actually teased `em down to minus 1 with another good defensive, home field tough little club, troy st....i expect troy`s ground game to click vs the poor defense of idaho...troy has hung in with nebraska, miss st,marshall, arkansas(check the stats in the troy- arkansas game;actually, check the troy stats period)...these 2 are very nasty little defenses...and at home...but,laying a td scares me a little..

glad to see someone finally lookin at some of these sun belt games with north texas....!!!

i agree with you about N.TEXAS' offense....laying -7 at home is a bit too much in a game to decide which Sun Belt Conference undefeated team will go to the 2002 New Orleans Bowl and claim at least a share of the Sun Belt title.

I've never bet on a N.Texas side this season cause i just don't know which offense will show up on a given week.

I'd stay away from the side and hit the under HUGE in this one:

N.TEXAS over the AGGIES 17 - 14

BTW: i'm 6 - 0 on North texas totals for +14.00 units

good luck, gents!

depending on the number, i probably make a double play on the under in the utah st/troy st game as troy st has absolutely no offense to go with that fine defense. i also agree that more than a td is too much for troy state to lay given those factors - i'm still considering utah state as a play. keep in mind that, even with that great defense, troy state has not beaten a div 1-a team this year. utah state hasn't won on the road, but they've played a tough schedule, and last four games were all decided by 3 pts or less.

be careful

be careful

troy st`s last goy and at home...they run very well vs this level competition....and only allow around 150 yds per game passing....utah st has absolutely no ground game...just a little heads up....i would also struggle to lay a td or more...that`s why i teased n tx and troy....g.l, to ya.....good info.

gardenweasel' don't you feel like this will be a low scoring game? if so, wouldn't it seem like a better to tease utah state to the under, if you're inclined to bet that way?

i see your point...and it could work both ways...the under (for me)is a definite...i just hate to fool with poor defensive clubs on the road vs very good defensive clubs.....kinda hard to gauge troy at home...all their tough opponents make them travel...but they haven`t lost at home in a good while(albeit vs lousy competition).your example would have been golden last week with n texas and idaho...your wager looks good........the other game has some questions for me....i suspect that n texas played even more conservatively than usual(if that`s possible)vs idaho with n mx st and a road trip to m. tn. st. looming...the under seems like the constant in both games....lets hope it`s at least in the mid to high 30`s....

There isn't another Div 1A team which has performed better, yet played a more difficult schedule than Troy State.

Gardenweasel's point about TROY STATE playing well against this level of competition is insightful.

back to my north texas UNDER point:

The Mean Green is allowing a mere four points a game in conference play and hasn't allowed a touchdown in its past four Sun Belt games.

these inter conference games are trench warfare with these teams...

keepin my fingers crossed and waiting for a fawking total to come out!!!!!!

HURRY UP ODDSMAKERS!!!!!!

wow - i missed both these totals by 4-5 points. @ 56-, i'll be banging the under on the troy state total. i can't believe it came out that high; worst opening line of the year imo. @ 38, ntex/nms a little tougher to call, though i would still lean to the under, probably a no play for me.

imo troy st under may be the best college football play of the season.
