Im not one for betting a lot of juice and I wont bet this, but if I did...Kobayashi is a steal...There is no way he loses...he liked doubled the 2nd Place person last year.

Two world eating records held by Kobayashi include 17.7 pounds (8.0 kg) of cow brains in 15 minutes :scared :scared and 20 pounds (9 kg) of rice balls in 30 minutes.

I guess after that 50 hot dogs is like a walk in the park... :scared :142smilie

Joey Chestnut? Is that his real name? Heck, I would not want to give my real name in a hot dog eating contest. :com:

I can't believe that I even know this but that Joey Chestnut kid ate 50 in 12 minutes at some qualifying event. I read a blurb about him, he's some college kid that saw the contest on tv and tried it for himself and I guess has "talent." :142smilie Either way it's supposed to actually be a competition this year contrary to the past.

I don't really understand the odds. Sonja Thomas, the Black Widow, has had a much better showing over the long haul.
20

She holds the record for 23 of 90 categories with the International Federation of Competitive Eating versus 4 of 90 for Joey Chestnut.

It truly is amazing to see such a little gal pack in so much food!
