If you remember back to the first meeting all the experts picked Alabama. Well there doing the same thing this time. Alabama is an outstanding football team, no doubt about it. Both teams had 2 weeks to prepare last time. There has been over a month to prepare for this one, I don't see a lot changing in terms of points. Both teams will play conservative, there is too much at stake. What you have to remember is LSU's record in the superdome. They have lost 2 games in the Superdome since it was built. 1986 to Tulane and a sugar bowl loss to Nebraska, I believe. They have won 2 national championships in this building and play, like the saints, larger than life under the super dome roof. The Honey Badger and a lot of our other players are from New Orleans and are not going to let Alabama come in here and win, I just cannot see it happening. College football is played by young men not old men, they play with emotion. New Orleans people are proud tough and not easily defeated. I think you will see a resiliency and determination out of this team and I am playing the Tigers in this one.

LSU pick 1100/1000

I don't have LSU's ATS numbers in the superdome but I am willing to bet if you saw it you would bet LSU in this one. Pounding the Saints tonight and the Tigers Monday!

Hope you cash it with me. Its been a Hell of a year! GO TIGERS!

Good luck with LSU Ryan

I am boycotting playing this game as I never agreed to this being the Nat Champ game but what the hey. It is what it is.

And if Alabama is able to win then we got the whole controversy of two teams with a loss to deal with.
A shared nat champ. I hate to think about it.

Best chance we got is in two years the BCS contract runs out and they may vote in a four game playoff system that would not affect any bowl games.

As for the game LSU should do the same thing as last time. I dont see Alabama scoring much of anything again.

The under is 40 I heard but have not looked.

that seems high to me.

Thanks guys. I would have loved to see ok state get to the game. That said there is no one I would rather see loose than Alabama. There fan base has doubled since hiring Satan and there fans have a sense of entitlement. I don't know a single bama fan who went to school there or could find Tuscaloosa on a map. I want to see Nicky loose so bad.

Really don't care who wins but this game sure has a lot of haters on each side..Two great teams with GREAT DEFENSES and a above avg on the other side of the ball....I suspect no one here can pick a side they would be willing to put their rent money on..that being said i'm going to enjoy watching a good old fashion football game and recall this is the way football should be..:0074

Alabama has always had a national following.......it's LSU's fan base that seemed to double post-Saban hire.

I think I could say the same about the LSU nation where most of their fans did'nt go to school there either, they are fans by geography and most that I know act exactly the way you described to a tee

As far doubling the fan base, I guess that might be possible but that comes with winning
It seems that LSU hates our coach worse than anything which is fine by me
I want to beat LSU because they are a strong division rival in our way to winning championships-that's all- not because I think their coach is a tool (although successful and earning more of my respect weekly)
Just know this like most fans (will speak for Bama fans b/c that's where I went to school) you grow up a rabid fan our your team and some fans are classy treating other fans with tact and respect while they're some who are idiots and act the way you described again
I will apologise for all the idiot Alabama fans right now
I will be in the Dome tomm night and hope it's the hard fought game that it appears inevitably to be

Good luck to your team

I read a write up on the Ravens vs. Chargers game a few months ago and the guy pointed out all these great things about the Ravens and how they were going to win and what not. I looked at the Ravens record and remembered watching them in Seattle. I thought to myself the Ravens are terrible traveling west. But instead of going with my gut I followed this guy and of course the Ravens stayed in Baltimore and let their cheerleaders play or at least that's what it seemed like.

You're obviously an LSU fan and you pointed out very few facts about them to substantiate your pick. I remember watching the first game and Bama out played LSU, if they had a kicker that could do his job that game would have been a bama win. Going 2/6 on FG's to LSU's 3/3.

Good luck with your pick, but my gut is telling me that Saban has had to much time to prepare his team and he won't leave this game up to his kickers. I wouldn't be surprised if they go for it on 4th down in FG range more than a few times in this game.

Tons of bama fans were at the saints game last night. Most are very reasonable. I joked with a few along the way. A couple were a little uptight. One guy tells me in bathroom line that Miles hasn't accomplished anything until this season. I shrugged as to avoid having to speak with him. Then he said miles is a queer, and only has success recruiting other queers. I chuckled....couldn't help myself.

Love the Texas fan. Six straight national championships and your not convinced. I would rather watch the golden girls than the longhorn network. Your school and conference are totally irrelevant.

Samrm112,

Look at Lsu s record in the superdome in bowel games, like the saints the city and atmosphere energizes this team. Coaches don't play games if they did Satan s team would have won the first time. Lots of good campers on the lions last night, big mistake, it's a bad idea to play against saints or tigers at home. This is a home game and I expect Lsu to play huge. I am a fan but far from a homer, I bet against Lsu in the auburn and Kentucky games this year, went 1-1 auburn is goddam horrible. I will be on Lsu and the under heavy. If you need more reason look at les miles bowl record at Lsu he has 1 loss to penn state on a horrible field that negated team speed.

Congrats on a great season and look forward to a great game tomorrow nite...You have run the gaunlet of a tough schedule and deserve all the accolades the team receives!!! A little perpestive from an old man...I am a bama grad, and while we looking to replace Dubose (great position coach but not head coach), I was hoping to get Miles for us. Didn't happen and years of poor results...Fast forward...Saban leaves Lsu to see if he can climb the ladder into the NFL...you get a great hire in Miles!!! You know the rest, but I don't understand your disdain for a guy who is so self-motivated that he has to challenge himself? I have a great respect for what the SEC has acheived and glad to see that the conference gets it tribute!!! Looking forward to football as it should be played!!!

PS...for those who think OK St should be here...If you had a OK St/Oregon matchup who would be favored?

Point ON...the 2 best teams are here...It will be a great football game and hope everyone enjoys...LSU wins they will go down as a GREAT team....ALA wins they will be Champions...Personally unless a blowout by Bama it should be split if they win....glgl

Not jealous at all. I'm just tired of hearing about the SEC conference all of the time. Texas is having a dip right now. No question, but so do all schools. Texas will be back.

Outside of Bama and LSU, the SEC isn't a good conference this year. The SEC hasn't always been the top conference, and LSU and Alabama have had their bad times, and they will also have upcoming bad times. Sports is like that. There are ebbs and flows. Don't think its not going to happen, because it will.

Replace Mr. Brown and you will get there sooner...Does less with more talent than most top tier coaches...IMHO...

The sec has been the best football conference for at least 6 seasons, but imo closer to 10. To be considered the best, all another conference has to do is win.
