We hit the ground running today after the mini break with a huge slate. Yesterday was a winning day, but could have been much better if not for a historic collapse by the sixers, good thing I caught a break in the Knicks game.....it's a fine line between winning and losing.

Great call on that Knicks game. I really wanted to play that game, but I have gotten screwed several times this year with them. As always, I'll look forward to your picks tonight. Are there any 4 unit selection possibilities for tonight?

Well for once were on the same side in all your picks....i havent decided for sure yet but i like the rockets (waiting on torres and thomas status), I really like the griz at -6.5, and i like washington as well (cha has lost 7 of 8 at home). Theres a good chance ill play all 3, those were 3 of the 4 i was still debating on, Cavs are the side i would take in that game as well but im not playing that one at all. Ive already bet the clippers at -3 and -2...

good luck to you...

Glad to see that both you and Raymond like this game. This was the first game that I liked on the board this morning. Also, I'll look forward to your 4 unit

selection. Let me guess...will it be on the LAL/GS game? Good luck!!

[RE: Post below this one]

Sneaks...don't be sorry my friend, your 4 unit selections are something that everybody here values very HIGHLY and should never be rushed into.

Any thoughts on the Hawks/Bucks game beyond the 1st half? Thank you!!

D nug,

Finally glad to see we are on the same side tonight. have not made a decsion on the clippers yet, however your write up was nicely done I would like to see more of them here. I have seen your write ups at other places but rarely have time to go there. I think the Free throws forum has some cap space maybe we can sign you as a free agent!

ClubFoot,
Sorry but unless something jumps out at me there is currently no four unit play for tonight, but you never know what half time brings, not to mention Late night with Sneaks..

WoodPony,

thanks my friend, I hope you had a good X-mas as well...

I actually think milwaukee should come back and cover this in the end because they are focusing on this homestand. The first half numbers were in heavy favor of the hawks that is why i jumped it. If I was more versed in first halves i would have made this a higher rated play.

I hope this helps.

Murray is out for cleveland, this isnt a big loss if lucas is smart and plays stith more but if he plays davis a ton(which is my guess) i cant stand ricky davis personally and dont want him on the floor for big minutes....just heard this on the nj pre game show...

Thanks for the info Dnug,

I am still playing the cavs in this one, and I assume that is why the line jumped to 2.5 in some spots....

On a personal note has anyone seen or heard from Goose? He posted alot last year and was a cavs guy so would always drop his welcome insight on the team....

Dnuggets-

Funny you should mention Ricky Davis. AS a resident of his hometown, I've followed this guy's career since High School. By the way, he was suspended for a bunch of games while at Davenport North High his senior year.
I've know J.D. Rios, the head coach at North, ever since his son and I played pee-wee basketball together in the mid '70s. This was the only time in 30-some years of coaching that he has had to suspend a player.
Then, Davis moves on to my alma mater, the University of Iowa to play for Tom Davis. He plays one year, and then declares himself eligible for the draft. Everyone laughs at him, thinking there is no way the kid is ready for the NBA-- but he's drafted in the 1st round, and while he's on his 3rd NBA team-- he is still drawing that NBA check.

The danger here is the Quitting Team Syndrome so often displayed by the Heat and other teams. You think you can count on the team that's waaaay down to at least make an honest effort in the second half. Anyone planning on giving Miami that chance in the near future? Me neither.

The Cavs on the other hand, at home, are very laible to try to make a game of this. They certainly can improve on their 31% shooting! No reall foul trounble for either team and the Nets will cool down a little.

Lean to Cavs -3' but waiting for the real 'cappers to weigh in
