Needless to say, it has been a tough week. I know that a lot of emphasis is being placed on whether or not to post a record. Quite frankly, I don't see it as a problem as long as it is done in a professional manner. As long as someone is honest and humble, I think it's ok. On that note, I will update the record later.
This week has been atrocious for me so far. 1-1 last night in the half time thread. Did not post anything else as I'm trying to right the sinking ship here.
2 plays so far:
Hawks/Lakers UNDER 195.5
It's pretty obvious that when Shaq is out of the lineup, the Laker offense is not the same. Their defense is solid, however. The Hawks play a lot of over games at home, but only average 87.9 ppg on the road. Couple that with the Lakers D only yielding 90ppg at home and the fact that LA is 1st in defensive FG %, I think Atlanta struggles from the field tonight. Kobe will get points tonight I think, but I don't see a lot of support from the rest of the cast. Personally, I feel that the total should come up somewhere around 185-190. I really like this under.
Hawks O/U on road 9-17
Lakers O/U at home 9-15
Wizards +7 over Suns
This is a big game for the Wizards. Michael Jordan and Rip Hamilton were rested in the 4th quarter yesterday when Wash was clearly out of it against the Kings. They should have enough in the gas tank to be ready tonight. The Wizards need a win here big time to save face on this mini west coast road trip. I'm going out on a limb to say that the Wizards win this one to go back home on a positive note. I'm not even looking at the stats here. I feel that 7 is too high in this spot. MJ comes up HUGE tonight against Phoenix.
Might have some more later.
