A lot of games which I really like. But I am busy at work and dont have time to really research. Also am going out with my girlfriend to the mall and that reduces the time to research night games.

Playing only one game today

Record:

Sides 3-0
First Quarter Side: 1-0
First Half Side: 1-0
Second half Side : 2-1
Anti-Washington First Quarter Play: 0-1

Starting bankroll : $605
Current bankroll : $1453.39

LA Lakers @ LA Clippers
(Point Spread) LA Clippers -2.0
-110 To Win To Run
Risk: 165.00 To Win: 150.00

This game is hard to cap if one is going to rely on past data. You take out Shaq and Fox and LA loses two of its top 3 players.

Lakers are in a funk. They are w/o Shaq and thier deficiencies at offence and defence are being exposed. Fox did us a favor by going after Christie and getting suspended.

Kobe has not been shooting lights out. He is collecting his usual points but that is coming hard and he is taking a lot of shots.

Lets start with the Clippers:

The Clippers have improved over the past two years. They have tried to restructure the organization and make the team a winner. They did come close to a playoff berth last year. This year they have high expectations that they will be able to break into the playoffs. After losing the game to Cleveland at home (loss by 2 points) I am sure the importance of this game has been impressed upon the players by management.

Data which may not be important:
-- Last season the Lakers were 3-1 SU and 1-3 ATS versus their Staples Center rivals. The ?under? was 4-0 in those contests.

In the pre-season Olowokandi and Elton Brand missed all 8 games. Quentin Richardson played in only one of them. So Olowokandi, Brand and Andre Miller were never together at the same time on the floor in the pre-season. I am sure the first game must have helped tremendously in terms of getting these players together on the same footing.

The Clippers players have commented as to how much the loss to Clevelend hurt.

It was hard to get up this morning," Piatkowski said. "I had a terrible feeling in my stomach when I went to bed and when I woke up. There is letting games slip away, but there is no way in the world we should have lost to that team. That hurts. It really, really hurts."

Let this be known thru out the clubhouse and u have a team which is motivated to win the next game to make up for the earlier game loss. Same like a bettor who bets one game at night because he lost the first one in the morning with the intention of winning the second game. Hopefully the Clippers can do it.

Brand indicated that his knee is not troubling him. But he is rusty and needs more conditioning. He did not score against Cleveland and did not play in fourth quarter crunch time.

The Clippers coach said later on that he shud have used Brand down the stretch instead of Sean Rooks.

What this indicates is that if the same situation presented itself today then Gentry will not keep Brand on the bench.

Clippers coach Alvin Gentry criticized his team for a lack of effort, something he did only once or twice in the Clippers' 82 games last season.

"I'm disappointed in the way we lost, the effort plays," Gentry said. "Something we talk about is that we've got to always win the effort plays. We didn't do that tonight."

The coach didn't single out any player for a lack of effort but did offer a sweeping comment.

I hope the players get the message from the coach.
Andre Miller had a solid game with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

The Clippers got outrebounded by the Cavs but frankly I dont see that happening with LA. I am sure there will be a lot more crowd support than the 16000 who came for the Cavs game.

I have seen Olowokandi play and I think frankly he is one of the best Centres out there. Brand hopefully will get back on track today and play his consistent double-double.

Coming to LA :

Struggling team is one way to sum it up. Other than Bryant and Horry and Fisher all other players are scrappy. There is no real big guy to rebound and Lakers are gonna have problem matching up against LA.

The team is beaten down and has lost 2 straight games at home. Does not get any easier. The big man and Fox are still on the sidelines.

One of the biggest factors which will count today is fatigue.
LA is playing third game in four nights

Not having a deep bench or reserves leads to more playing time for the starters. Medvedenko is second leading scorer and Clippers should shut him down today.

** Both teams losing record right now but I think Clippers win this one by around 7 points.

Leans:

Toronto +8.5
Memphis +7.5
Hornet -4
Toronto Under 182
Knicks Under 176

but playing on the one game today.

Good luck and Cheers !!!

Thanx guys.

Adding another play:

IND Pacers @ NJ Nets
(Game Totals) Over 187.0
-110 To Win To Run
Risk: 165.00 To Win: 150.00

This has been a highly anticipated game after the fireworks from these two teams last season. Both teams had made changes and have one win under their belt.

I have not played a total yet and this will be my first total for the year. I hope i get it.

Couple of reasons for playing the Over.

Both teams play a running game. Nets have such a wide variety of offence unlike Philly that they do not run specific plays a lot to go through Mutombo. Kidd is excellent at point guard and at creating opportunities.

Tinsley will be back for Indiana who does not have Miller in the lineup. Pacers coach was heard saying "We have circled the date in our calendar".

With both teams wanting to win so badly will it be done through defence or offence. I think it will be much more offence than defence.

NJ shoots the long ball well and so does Indiana (though Reggie is not there today).

Not a lot of time to post my reasons but I think this game will go past 200 points.

Also if this game stays close as anticipated then there will be fouling at the end leading to the clock being stopped and free throws being shot.

Good luck to all
Cheers !!!

no tinsley for pacers still (and reggie, of course)? I like nets to always go over, esp w/o van horn and RJ in his spot ... just not sure if Indy has the jets to score 90+
