Records later:

More games to select from. Some of the totals i see as being very high.

One is Dallas 207.5
Lafrenz is out for Dallas. Fortson not there for GS. Personally I think 207.5 is 10 points too high but then again its Dallas

Played two games for Monday:

DET Pistons @ PHX Suns
(Game Totals) Under 176.5
-110 To Win To Run
Risk: 230.00 To Win: 209.09

MIL Bucks @ NY Knicks
(Point Spread) MIL Bucks -3.0
-110 To Win To Run
Risk: 220.00 To Win: 200.00

176.5 Under for the Detroit / Phoenix game looks a good total. Total shud fall well below this. Detroit played a tough game against Clippers. Phoenix plays good defence and this game should play Under. Phoenix not yet playing good ball as a team. Detroit will play solid defence and hopefully their offence wont ignite tomorrow. Hopefully around 162 points will be scored.

Bucks @ Knicks: Two highly incosistent teams .. both teams without a win. Bucks lost last game to a Magic team where they just could not stop MacGrady. Knicks lost to Boston in a fuxin shootout. Both teams have suspect defence. Karl must wanna a win. I am just hopin its against the Knicks. The bucks teams SEEMS to be the better team. Bucks hopefully can crash the glass. Mason can create matchup problems.
Hopefully Bucs win by around 7 points or so at least.

Good luck and Cheers !!!

Adding :

CHI Bulls @ TOR Raptors
(Money Line) CHI Bulls - Pick
Risk: 500.00 To Win: 400.00

Agreed this is a lot of money. I am playing with profits so please vary your bets accordingly.

I usually dont bet this amount of money. So I hope to god my analysis is correct. Please note that I have taken the moneyline and not the -2.0 spread. Dont ask me why.

Raptors have not looked good this season. No one is shooting the ball well and as a team they are shooting a dismal 25% or so on average. Lots of injuries. Please see the thread that IE has in the forum.

Carter does not have structural damage - that is good news. But seeing how he was hobbling day before and yesterday I really really doubt if he will come out and play. If he has not recovered will Management bring him out to play on one knee. I dont think so. They will not risk chance of further injury. Even if he plays today with the bad knee can he get the elevation and I think he will be a defensive liability (he had actually started to play defence this season).

Antonio Davis is out for 1-2 weeks. He is definitely not playing today. Davis in 3 games is averaging 8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Throw in the fact that he plays excellent defence on rotation and is a potential shot changer or shot blocker and you have lost a valuable player who contributes on both ends of the floor. Also Antonio is a leader. The team was winning when Carter went out last year but the biggest reason was due to the leadership shown on the floor by this guy. In rebounding Davis had 12 offensive and 16 defensive rebounds. Out of the total 40 offensive rebounds pulled down by Toronto, Davis has more than 30% of them. This is a huge number. Keep in mind he played very little in the second half against Houston.

Jerome Williams is injured and they may give him some time to play to fill in the minutes but he has not contributed much and cannot due to limiations due to injury.

Carter is averaging 12.7 points 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. These stats are a bit misleading because he played only 6 minutes in Game 3 which was against Houston. So his numbers are actually a bit better. If he does not play [which I pray to God he does not] Toronto loses another guy who can score.

Voshan Lenard and Lindsey Hunter have been scoring points but they are streaky players. Hopefully their shots wont fall today.

That leaves Peterson as the main scoring threat. I think the bulls should be able to deal with Peterson if there are not many other players they have to double team.

Toronto is already short-handed. The strain has been showing on them in the second half's of games. The team has not been functioning as a unit and I will be damned if they get their act straight. The defence has not been rotating and I cannot see the will to win in the body language of the Raptors.

Jelani Mcoy has been averaging 5.3 points and 10.7 rebounds a game. His stats in rebounding may improve more with Davis gone but he has 25 defensive rebounds and only 7 offensive rebounds.

Coming to Chicago:

This is a different bulls team than the year before. The bulls have made some changes and the youngsters are a year older in the league.

To support Jalen rose who is a Raptors Killer over the years, Bulls have brought Donyell Marshall. Both of these guys are playmakers and want to win. Rose has been averaging 22 points, 3,7 rebounds and 6.0 assists a game. Marshall has been averaging 16 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists a game.

Trenton Hassell has been playing well and has been shooting the long ball extremely well. He has been averaging 10.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists a game.

Eddy Curry and Eddie Robinson have excellent speed and quickness and will be hard to handle for Raps. These two have limited time and are averaging 5 points a game.

It will be hard to handle Chandler on the glass. The guy is big and is a good rebounder.

Chicago likes to play a fast game and the Raps are gonna find it tough to keep up with Chicago.

I just think that Bulls are playing better ball at this point of time.
Bulls have won 2 of 3 and they kept close to Atlanta but lost by 6 points as the team of Robinson, Shareef and Terry proved too much for them. I dont see Toronto having so many weapons.

I see a difference in the outlook of both teams. I see a difference in matchup problems for Raptors. I hope Chicago wins.
Hopeful Score: Chicago 112 Raptors 79

Note:

I do not place a lot of importance to stats from previous years. One of the reasons is that the composition of teams changes all the time. Statistical Leaders for Raps are:

Carter averaged 24.7 points a game, Davis averaged 9.6 rebounds a game. Keon Clark averaged 1.51 blocks a game, Clark had best shooting % at .490, Davis had best Free Throw % at .818 and Carter had best 3 point shooting % at .387
Alvin williams had 1.65 steals a game.

The bulls team has changed also and no point in puttin down numbers here.

Rose in 2 games against Toronto had 30 and 35 points respectively. Davis was rebound leader in 3 of the 4 games. Childs had 10 assists in game 2 and 8 assists in game 4.

Point is please do not go on last year's stats as a lot of the players are either gone or not playing.

Good luck and Cheers !!!

Good luck tonight. I'm with you on Chicago. I agree that the reason Toronto won last year without Carter was because A. Davis put this team on his shoulders carried them to victories. With him out, the Bulls (starters and reserves) seem to have an advantage at virtually every position. I don't know if Chicago will win by 30+ points as you predict, but I hope you're right.

The Bucks look like the right play, but that's what bothers me, if that makes any sense. The Knicks have not been getting run over so far this season, at least not until the 4th quarter. I'm going to take another look at the line-ups and them make a call on this one. GL.

thanx guys. Hope we win. I think with my brain, place the bets with my fingers and mouse, then cross my fingers and pray like a monk.

Even after that if i lose .. .. . boy .. let us not go there

Heyward agree on the bucks. lookin over the numbers for the Knicks they get tired in fourth quarter I think due to heavy workload. I am thinking that after 3 games or so the fatigue is gonna catch up with them. Taking a look at which team and coach will be more hungry for a win the edge will go to the Bucks in my opinion.

Spock hopes Ray Allen explodes to score 50 points tonight and Bucks win by 10 points at least

I know i would need a lot of Vulcan prayers for that but hopefully shud work out good.

Note:
The Detroit-Suns game total has dropped to 172 from 176.5 last night at my book .. heavy betting on the Under. If it continues chance for a good middle

hey bigplaymakerjoe

171 still means that both one team has to score 86 points at least to lose.

In the last 10 games:

7 of preseason and 3 of regular season Detroit have gone above 86 points twice.

Lets break it down by preseason and regular season. Detroit team is a team which is consistent on most nights on both offence and defence. Their biggest asset is defence more than offence

In the first 3 games of the season they have scored 86, 109 and 72 points.

86 came against Miami. The 109 came against Memphis who do not play a game which can be remotely called as good defense and 72 came against Clippers. The 86 and 109 were scored at home and 72 was on the road.

In the pre-season games they crossed 86 points once and that was against Dallas. Similar defence to Memphis and they scored 106.

Please also note that the Pistons played yesterday in a hard fought game against the Clippers. The young line up may not have problems but I am sure the offence may get affected upto a certain degree.

Coming to the Suns:

Suns are not a high scoring team. Similar to the Pistons they are stingy on giving up points. In 3 regular seasons game 73, 78 and 83 points. The 83 points came against Dallas. Meanwhile they have given up 86, 74 and 97 points.

The 97 points were given up to Dallas who has a good offence inspite of their ineptitude on defence. Suns are good on defence.

I still think both teams will score one team may score in 70's and the other in 80's.

I bet under on 176.5 but @ 171 still looks good.

Cheers and hope this helps

I am watching the game and the refs are calling the game for Raptors ..

mcoy .. he walked ..3 steps .. was in the key for 5 seconds .. no call .. and then dunks ..

am watching bulls for first time .. and they have no ball handling .. simple and plain .. just horrible ball handling .. J Williams is just looking sad .. and there is no one .. of course one of my main guys Jalen Rose is just not showing up to play .. 3 -11 for 6 points .. and hassell 1-3 ..

and 5 points give up with 1 point left in each quarter ..

Raps score the most point in a half in their season

Go figure .. for I cannot ..

Bulls 10 Turnovers to 3 for the Raps ..

Eddie Robinson who plays good again Raptors has played 5 mins ?????? how .. .

I hope that Bulls can make a run against the Raps. Otherwise I have to chalk this one up as a game I analyzed and got wrong.

LETS GO BULLS

Spock. Don't sweat it. 10 minutes left in the fourth and the lead is only 12. Remember, it's the Raptors!!! No lead is safe with that putrid offense!

8 point 4th quarter! Let's go Bulls!!!
