Miami Heat 89, Detroit Pistons 78; Heat lead series, 3-1

The Miami Heat took a 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference final with an 89-78 win over the Detroit Pistons Monday night.

Miami came into the game at home as a slight 2-point favorite and made good on covering the spread. The game?s final score fell UNDER the posted total (183). Dwyane Wade shot 8-for-11 and collected a game-high 31 points, six rebounds and five assists in the win.

The Mavs lead this series 2-1 and following Sunday's loss, NBA's MVP Steve Nash told reporters: "They're doing a good job getting back in transition. I don't know if fatigue is a factor for us, but we're not running like we need to."
