I've been at work all day and I just got off (remember, it's only 6:45 Vegas time). I woke up today with the intention of taking the Blazers +2 in the late game. I thought of that specifically because I thought that the line should be up around LA Clipps -5.5 and there was a lot of weight on LA with a line drop. I waited until I got off to check the betting numbers and people have been all over Portland in the last five hours. Probably for the same reasons as me. I decided to lay off a side in this game and I came home to do my homework on the total.
I see no reason to believe why both teams won't come out and murder the scoreboard. CP3 to Griffin/DJ will account for 16 points alone in the first quarter. Both teams are coming off playing last night. I believe neither team having much desire to stack the paint and play hard on defense. Wallace, Camby, Ray Ray and Crawford will gel as well on the Portland side of the ball. I cap the total amount of points scored in the first half to be at 103 total points.
