Anything on Charlotte and their game plan?
First 2 games Sunday-Wednesday?
-- The Charlotte Bobcats are hearing VERY TENTATIVELY that the first game of their playoff series would be Sunday in Orlando, with Game 2 on Wednesday. All that could change completely between now and when the playoff schedule comes out, probably after midnight tonight. However, that's the initial indication the team is hearing.
A Sunday-Wednesday schedule would make some sense in this regard: Orlando's arena is not available Monday due to a previously scheduled concert and Time Warner Cable Arena is not available next Thursday, also due to a concert date.
A fair guess if Games 1 and 2 are Sunday-Wednesday: Games 3 and 4 in Charlotte might be next Friday and either the following Sunday or Monday.
-- Coach Larry Brown continues to say he'll play tonight's last regular-season game for keeps because the Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors are still competing for the last playoff spot in the East. Brown said anyone who is healthy enough to play, would, although he reserved the right to manage injuries to Tyrus Thomas, Stephen Jackson and Gerald Wallace.
Injury-wise, Brown said he's most concerned about Thomas (dislocated right thumb) heading into the playoffs.
-- Don't be surprised if center Nazr Mohammed plays a lot tonight. Brown said at shootaround this morning that Mohammed got out of game shape in that month he missed with back spasms and Brown needs Mohammed against Orlando center Dwight Howard.
