My pick USC pk normal play.(why bet more than normal) pays the same as any other bet you place. same as a nba game or ncaa game or ice skating or whatever else you bet. Too many people load up on a game like this. WHY? this line is dead on. you aren't exposing a bad line taking one side or the other. one team may win by 30 but that doesn't make it a bad line. and if you cash doesn't mean you knew inside info. books are balanced. not sure if that makes sense but in my small mind it does.
Random but important thoughts:
Bet the game based on who you think is the better team. I did that and thats my opinion. Its okay to like oklahoma and bet them if you like them. what pisses me off or i guess for lack of a better term makes me laugh is all the people talking square and sharp money and this and that. Face it, 90% of the people if not more on madjack sports are squares. Im not saying im not either. and more than 90% of the people on this site are the public. Don't try and figure where the moneys going, the books are balanced on this game and will sell off what they need to. Line movement and public/sharp money mean nothing. there are no fixes in this game period.
for the last year if you played contrarian in the nfl you got demolished. if you played strict dogs in july and august in baseball you are homeless now. stop trying to figure out who is a square and who is sharp. by the old definition of square and sharp, sharps have been losing and the square or public cleaning up. lots of talk where books now want to bury the old sharp and let the public live it up. betting goes in phases. a good argument can be made for wanting the "public" smaller bets to win lately. that will change and this all goes in cycles.
the funniest quote i ever saw on madjacks was about 2 weeks ago in the ncaa forum. i forgot who posted it and i was in one of those moods and laughed so hard i almost cried. the quote was something like the public is banging the hell out of austin peay or something like that. they are really hitting austin peay hard. WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. what public person do you know that comes home from work and bets austin frigging peay a non televised game anywhere outside of wherever the hell austin peay is. i use this example because to me it was funny and to show that you can't just look at a line move and know what money is moving a line. smart/square, the distiniction is almost gone these days.
