I feel that LSU is more talented than Fla, especially up front on both sides of the ball and at wide receiver. I also feel that Nick Saban is as good a coach as you can find in the NCAA and coming off of a bye week he has his team fully prepared for this matchup.
The Tigers are without 2 starters in SS Hunt and RB/PR Shyrone Carey. These guys will be missed, but Trav Daniels will fill in nicely for Hunt and LSU has a slew of RBs including
J Addai, J Vincent, and A Broussard. These guys should run well vs Fla.
The LSU O line, which I have preached about all season long on this site, returned 4 starters from last year. These guys are good and they play very well together. Wilkerson, Peterman and Whitworth are dominant players.
Matt Mauck is a deceptively good athlete at QB and he keeps mistakes to a minimum allowing his depth at WR and RB to win games.
LSU has, IMO, the BEST WR corps in the nation.
The D line is comprised of a group of monsters. These guys are big, tall, fast and mean. They rush the passer, stop the run and deflect several passes per game due to their tremendous physical gifts.
The Gators will be juiced up due to the spanking LSU put on them in The Swamp last year as well as the loss to Ole Miss last week, but the Tigers should be equally juiced up because Fla whipped their butts 2 years ago in Tiger Staduim.
That being said, the greatest equalizer of them all is rain and Baton Rouge is getting pounded today. Depending on field conditions I may buy back my play tomorrow morning.
