Ive never been a fan of bob stoops, but listening to him yesterday I agree with his take that ND has a major advantage due to schedule flexibility. I agree with him that ND carries a big stick, so it won't change soon and they'll have an edge in reaching the 4 team playoff.

I'd like an 8 team playoff, this way having a major independent take a slot every time they lose less than 2 games in a season won't hurt as much.

I would also like to see a 8 team playoff. But it has nothing to do with ND. They usually play a tougher schedule than most of the Big 5 schools so I don't have a problem with them getting into a 4 team playoff.

52, 29, 29, 6, 38, 44 in SOS last 6 years. Not too shabby, but well behind most upper echelon big 5 schools.

It's not an ND thing, as much as it is an independent thing. Of course, ND is the most competitive Independent these days

I agree that it isn't fair the way they are treated with respect to everybody else. But if Indiana and Illinois have good enough schedules to get in then so does ND.

They should have to join a conference like everybody else. Oh well, what can you do?

Hopefully, they'll move to 8 team playoff in next few years.
