The Oregon State Beavers will try to halt a two-game losing streak this weekend when they square off against the Arizona State Sun Devils in a Pac-10 tilt from Tempe. Oregon State started the season with four consecutive wins over Eastern Kentucky, Temple, UNLV and Fresno State, but has been unsuccessful in conference play. The high-powered Beavers offense was completely shut down in a 22-0 loss at USC, and was then outgunned in a 43-35 shootout with UCLA last Saturday. Arizona State comes into the game with the same 4-2 overall record as OSU, but are 1-0 within the Pac-10. The Sun Devils opened their conference season with a 65-24 rout over Stanford, but were since beaten in a close, non-conference contest with North Carolina, 38-35. ASU began the season with a 48-10 loss at Nebraska, then collected consecutive wins over Eastern Washington, UCF and San Diego State. The Sun Devils have a 20-7-1 lead in the all-time series with Oregon State, which includes six straight ASU wins. The Beavers' last victory in the rivalry was in 1993, while their last win in Tempe came in 1969. Overall, the OSU is just 3-15 when visiting the Sun Devils in Tempe.
