pepperdine (-5.5) over siena
mississippi state (+4.5) over syracuse
even though the pepperdine game ended at a little after 2:00pm yesterday, the waves were long gone from the arena by 1:00pm, having checked out right after halftime. how clever of pepperdine to be thinking ahead. siena played 40:00 yesterday. the waves only played 20:00. seriously though, pepperdine should bounce back from their 2h debacle. theyre loaded on offense and should get it done over a siena group who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory yesterday.
as for msu/cuse, expecting this one to be a physical, defensive game. both teams lay bricks at the line. normally i try to steer clear of teams who cant make FTs, but both teams are skilled in free throw masonry. obviously the return of roberts is going to help msu a ton. i dont see a whole lot of difference between these two teams when theyre at full strength. should be a low-scoring, final-possession-decides-it kind of game.
