big -- michigan state (+4.5) over duke
also a future on michigan state at +3500 to win tourney

have already written about this one in my thursday/friday thread. in a nutshell, love the inside/outside game that msu has. when davis comes to play, there arent a whole lot of guys in the country that can match up with him. msu is an outstanding free throw shooting team. theyre getting a lot of balanced production, and i think theyre going to seriously test the depth of the devils bench tonight.

villanova (+10) over north carolina

it doesnt take a great offense to beat carolina. it takes a great defense effort. nova has bringing that lately. cats have allowed 72+ points just once in their last 11 games. in that stretch, the opposition is scoring just 61.3 ppg. hopefully villanova will take a page out of the duke book and clemson book and force carolina to play in the halfcourt. if they do, the heels could be in for a far tougher game than most think.

arizona (+5) over illinois

more on the weekend matchups as they get closer.

FYI, really like the Mich St and Villanova play. Just thought I'd toss it out for discussion purposes, but I've read conflicting things from Villanova. A few things I've read is that they want to force a half court game, and a few others say they will press and run w/ us. IMO, any team in the country that tries to run with us is poorly coached, regardless if that is your style during the season. Carolina is very ordinary and beatable if you force the half-court set offenses.

utah (+4) and (+175)

im goin with the utes here. the ncaa selection committee tries their very best (for some reason) to match these two up every damn year. only difference is that this year, utah isnt outclassed by kentucky. not trying to beat a dead horse, but kentucky is not a great outside shooting team (aside from sparks) and they are capable of going 3 or 4 minutes without a field goal. utah's defense should really give kentucky trouble. this will be a good test for bogut, going against an sec frontline but hes proven to be legit all year. just dont see any reason (from my capping) that kentucky should be favored. im not saying vegas is off, im just saying that i think this game is a total tossup and utah has a way of having many of their games come down to the final shot. this could be another one. points (+4) have a lot of value here because scoring should be tough to come by
