Record's horrid - I mean, really, really bad - I'll update later

More of a feeling then any deep research. Rutgers needs Teel to be successful tonight and UNC's success will run through the middle and should be a bit easier to execute successfully.

North Carolina +6

Expecting a pretty conservative gameplan from UNC for a number of reason, but especially for . . .

Well. . . The Irish season didn't exactly start as expected (but on the other hand, either has my handicapping), but I'm still keeping hope alive.

The one downgrade in my expectations is that I'm pretty sure that Notre Dame will never be a running team under Weis. Even in the "glory" years, the running game consisted of draws and sweeps and were designed to keep the rush off of Brady Quinn.

Lots of discussion this week on how SDSU was an inch away from being up 13 on the Irish, but there's been nothing on the fact that ND left 17 points on the board and extended SDSU only TD drive with a offsides penalty from the middle.

I also think that Michigan's offense is much more suspect than the Irish. When you add the blitz packages from Notre Dame against a Michigan QB and Oline that are having trouble picking up the offense, it should prove difficult to move the ball on the ground and neither of UofM's QB's has shown that they can complete a mid-level pass.

Hopefully, the Irish can spread the field and rely on a short passing game to neutralize Michigan's Dline who should dominate the Irish up front because I think it'll work. However, I've lost a lot of faith in Weis in regards to outscheming an opponent since OSU in the Fiesta. I'm hoping that he doesn't try and stuff the ball with the run because it's exactly what will happen - they will be stuffed.

With a chance for a wet field, I don't think this game gets near the low total because whoever gets ahead by two scores will play Carr ball (run-run-run-punt) because there is no reason not to.

Going with the under and hoping to get 3 by Saturday with ND.

ND/Michigan Under 37 2 units

Boilers just a dead program - not much excitement (got out recruited by Indiana and N'western last year) and their innovative spread offense looks antiquated. They've never played well against quality competition (Tiller 12-34 against Top 25) and I don't see any reason that that's going to change

Oregon -8

Tough trip for the Badgers with the late start. Fresno's got more speed than the Badgers. Bulldog defense will have the opportunity to sell out against the run against Wisky's power I due to Wisky's reluctance to rely on any QB - let alone one in his first road game. Going to wait a bit for the line to move up as Fresno's win just got a bit more suspect.

Fresno +?

You're so cool. I'm assuming you weren't following on the 2nd half under moneytrain :(

Like the Bulls for their ability to control both lines and to get pressure from the defensive front 4 while they drop 7.

South Florida -3.5

I am cool.....Thanks and I try not to find a way to lose money on a game once I've achieved the goal of winning it.

As LC would and did say:

Boys are like purses. You're always gonna have that one boy that you're always comfortable with and you know you'll always kind of like. That's your purse that you wear everywhere. Then you have that gorgeous bag that you want everyone to see you with but the gorgeous bag is usually an asshole or costs a lot of money. Then you have those other purses that you really like but you really don't want to be seen with.

FWIW, I again agree with the bulls tonight.

That's a great point. Maybe I should start with a WWLCD approach to handicapping instead of reaching for the WWBDBD approach . . . or maybe they're one in the same :SIB

I knew that, but thanks for the heads up.

You like Bucky tommorrow?

I do, but this is the one team I completely and totally lack the ability to be objective with, so take it with a grain of salt. I think that Marshall forcing Evridge to take over the game by stocking the box will pay dividends as he showed he could make plays, and will get Beckum - by far the team's best receiver - back. If Evridge can make some plays, Fresno isn't going to be able to just load the box, and if they can't load the box, then the UW O-line and stable of backs should chew up yards. So I am basically betting that Evridge can make some plays and keep the heat off the running game.
