sharp gutsy call on the pirates. despite second half losses, herrion is doing a good job with this team. i was really impressed with the way they played hard in losses at cincy and louisville even after missing the con-usa tourney. now they get some line value because of the losing streak. also, team's only senior is travis holcomb-faye, herrion's first recruit and the starting point guard, a very popular player with the team and the fans.
a wolfpack win today will put an end to all the talk about whether or not they make the ncaa tourney. i think sendek will have them ready. a small concern about cliff crawford, who hasn't practiced for the last two days because of the flu. but the word is that he will be fine today, though maybe miss a few minutes with resulting fatigue. he's the team's best defensive guard and also the lone senior for senior day.
