ND-BC, Unranked favored over a ranked?

Does this game fit the system of taking the home unranked team favored over a ranked team? Florida hammered Bama in this situation on Saturday.

I see an opening line of BC -1 to a pick 'em in most places I've looked.

Does this game fit the system?

Actually it doesn't because BC opened as a fave...in fact, if anything the right 'system play" would be play on BC, as it falls into the reverse fave" trend...not saying which side to play, simply pointing out which "system" this game falls in...gl

LVSC released this line yesterday as Notre Dame -2. . . just because it was bet down quickly and other books didn't release this line doesn't mean that it isn't a system play! Las Vegas released this line as Notre Dame being the favorite and in my opinion, that is all that counts.

I didn't know that. As early as last night, Olympic and Pinnacle opened at BC -1, StarDust had it listed opening at BC -1.

Scoresandodds.com is the only place I saw ND opened favored.

Now, I'm confused... :help:

System play or not, remember that Dick Vitale said on national TV LAST WEEK that ND would win this game. Wouldn't that influence the public a little?? Maybe Vegas should give Dickie V a thank you for all the ND money!!
