it is amazing! Darren DeLone will play for the cornhuskers this week. For those that don't know he is the offensive line that was so tough instead of getting tough with Oklahoma's football team, he decided he would get tough with a Cheerleader/spiritleaders (whatever the hell the male cheerleader is...Adam Merritt, 19, was knocked unconscious and suffered injuries to his head, neck, back, teeth and the upper palate of his mouth)

IMO Callahan is a joke, and this in part is the reason he was stiff armed by this players out of the NFL. He has taken a storied school program, famous for mobile QB's and great defense and turned them into a joke on offense. I'm sorry but have some balls Callahan! Sit him down, show the players they can't have this type of behavior.... MAKE THEM RESPECT YOU. I have never liked Nebraska (for no reason) but I feel sorry for them. They fired a helluva coach to get this guy. Callahan, is a disgrace to himself and the coaching community. And unfortunately he is taking the ship down with him. they have no shot at anything good this season so starting this kid says one thing to his players.... Do whatever you want, where ever you want and if your good enough it doesn't matter. Makes me glad to see WVU sit Henry down, he may not get the lesson but I'm sure the team will and parents that want to send their kids to play for a coach not only winning on the field but producing winners off it!

Sorry about the rant :soapbox: :soapbox: :soapbox:

I don't know man, I have a heavy lean toward Colorado just based on Callahan and the way his team thinks he doesn't know what he is talking about. Half the battle in college coaching is to get your kids to buy into the system. The rest of the nation isn't buying Callahan and I'm not too sure many of his players are either. here is the question, I have:
If the boosters were pissed about the season last year, and called for the coaches head, what are they going to do now?

Ring, Ring..... Dave Wanstadt speaking, Sure I would like to run the ball and play defense, thats all I knew how to do in Miami. :scared

Good point on Wanstadt Irish! He is one guy that would be able to implement the type of system Nebraska is used to running. Tight 'D', and a good running game. Unfortunately, I see Callahan in Lincoln for at least next year as they will try and give him a chance to recruit the players needed to run this type of offense. It remains to be seen if this will pay off and allow them to return to the glamour team they have been in the past but the odds of this happening look remote. Some kind of 'D' is required to play at the top level, and right now, losing pelini and focusing more on the offensive side of things, this looks unlikely also. It's going to be a long couple of years for cornhuskers fans (self included) IMO! Time will tell!
